Dark secrets revealed in one fell swoop in the heart of winter
Heather Randall returned to the house and suddenly went in a panic.
"Julie?!"
She searched all over the house; every room on a near loop.
"Where are you?!"
Heather was unable to find Julie, her teenage stepdaughter, who had been with her during the entire winter season. Just as she was set out on finding Julie, she suddenly heard a knock on the door, which slightly bewildered Heather. Nevertheless, Heather answered the door and found herself encountered by a police officer, who Heather greeted with apparent relief.
"Oh, thank God you're here," Heather said before suddenly pausing. Before she could tell her tale, she saw Julie standing with someone familiar to both of them: Parker Pierce, Heather's husband and Julie's father. Parker stared a deep hole into Heather, and for good reason, as Julie was covered with a blanket and bruises, looking quite worse for wear. At this moment, Heather heard these very words:
"Heather Randall, you're under arrest for abduction, imprisonment, and attempted murder."
Right when the cuffs were slapped on, a deranged scowl formed on Heather's face.
"You!" snarled Heather. "You went crying to your daddy again, didn't you?! Can't you see, Parker?! Can't you see that's what she does?! It's all her fault! It's because of her that I can't have the nice things I deserve! All because that little brat wants to go to college!"
Heather's insane rant went on deaf ears, as Parker and Julie celebrated their reunion, while putting Heather's evil presence behind them.

Building A Better Tomorrow
In the field which I work in, I have learned many things, and of those things, I would most certainly say that the most valuable tool I have in my arsenal, which has the greatest capability of helping to not just bridge the gaps, that exist when communication barriers are present, it allows for the true establishment of authentic connection, this tool is none other than Compassion. I take time each and every morning, to reflect on the experiences I have had, and when I began doing this initially, I had much more than yesterday to reflect on, I had years of trauma which had been left in the darkness, having had no light truly shed upon them for a substantial duration of time. When something happens to us, of either a smaller less significant impact, or something of a greater, more significant impact, we must always ensure that we take the time to analyze, and process these events, regardless of how big or little they may be.
