The Ethereal Kingdom

Far in The Ethereal Kingdom is the Forest of Pure Hearts. This kingdom is ruled by Queen Kamiyrah, The Heart of the Forest. The Forest of Pure Hearts is full of magical creatures with powers connecting them to the queen. It can only be entered through an archway hidden behind an enchantment row. However, if you are not pure-hearted with pure intentions, you are vaporized for trespassing. This has kept many men out who have sought to destroy the power of the forest. It is also a haven for women and children who can escape the village and make it across Enchantment Row. Enchantment Row is a road outside the village that leads to various other towns and kingdoms. It is a road that tests the traveler in many ways. Those unable to keep up with the toll of the tests often turn back to their villages, vowing to never attempt to cross again.

The animals of the forest all have a telepathic connection with Queen Kamiyrah, for her power is being able to mentally communicate with all living things, including plants. She can hear their thoughts, send her voice, read memories and even receive and send warnings. Enchanted dragons protect the Kingdom and patrol the borders and entrances. While on patrol, her main dragons, Elsor and Errona, follow the cries of a toddler at the edge of The Ethereal Kingdom’s Forest of Pure Hearts. They inspect the strange incubation chamber holding the child and send an enchanted roar. Tons of fairies and exotic creatures emerge from behind the trees and bushes. They, too, examine the tube containing the child, and the same roar of enchantment erupts, emitting a pink and purple hue throughout the forest. Queen Kamiyrah, able to pick up on what they are seeing, calls the dragons home and instructs them to bring the child, but where did the child come from?

The Cabal Kingdom

The Cabal Kingdom sat at the edge of the region, reigning over local villages. The kingdom thrived on order and advanced technology to maintain order throughout the land. The Courts Supreme, an artificially animated consciousness of the founders, rules over all governing policies and politics. Within this system, there are four operating sectors: The King’s Court, the Mistresses of the Court, the Midwives of the Mistresses, and The Villagers.

The King’s Court reigned for centuries without wives, making their ruling more logical, and eliminating causes for concern or distractions. The King’s Court is derived of many members, such as The Confessor, The Bearer of News, The Guardian Master, The High Officer, The Keeper of Intelligence, The Village Count, The Wealth Administrator, and The Court Advisor. These members oversee the news of the kingdom, the kingdom’s defenses, the village officers, the kingdom’s history, the kingdom’s census, the kingdom, the financial distribution of the kingdom, and the King’s ruling decisions in correlation with the Courts Supreme.

The Mistresses of the Court are Women who birth the men of the castle. They are artificially programmed and undergo a procedure that only allows them to birth young boys. They are inseminated and kept in a closed wing of the castle, with the midwives caring for them until the children are of training age (3 years old). The mistresses are volunteers from the village who bare children in exchange for their families being taken care of in the town. They can volunteer to be a mistress at 21 years old and must “retire” at 35 or after 10 total deliveries. The kingdom forever covers the wives’ families in exchange for their services. This meant they could live in a more advanced village full of women previously giving services.

The Midwives of the Mistresses help tend to the women during pregnancy and help raise the children until they are of training age. They are the only ones who know how many children are born at a time. The only contact they have with the court is during the death of a mistress, the announcement of a potential ceremony, and the handoff for training. The mistresses are volunteers from the village who bare children in exchange for their families being taken care of in the town.

Midwife Taholoh

It was during the morning of summer that the fate of The Cabal Kingdom would change forever. Within the Mistress Wing of the Castle, a discrepancy unfolds, sealing the future fate of the kingdom. Thursday night, six midwives gave birth to a new era of leaders. The newborns were being prepped for ceremonial scanning; The Ceremony of Potential. This ceremony revealed their potential, powers of possession, and role in the kingdom. After each child is born, they are examined and scanned by the midwives. You see, the ancient system only allows for the birth of boys; therefore, there is no distinguishing intelligence to distinguish a female child. Each child is then placed in an incubator for scanning to commence. There is one distinctive quality that makes a child fit for the throne, and his quality is known as The High Possessor. The High Possessor was more than a quality; it was power, allowing whoever possesses it to rewrite artificial intelligent protocols and memories, create harmony and spread empathy. This trait also has all the power combinations available for future newborns. These powers can be projected onto others, changing the potential distribution for the village.

That morning, a mistress gives birth to a baby girl; this little girl holds power to become the heir, for she possesses the power of The High Possessor. The midwives knew those female children were abandoned in the village despite their ceremony of the potential reveal. This created an internal conflict for one midwife, in particular, Taholoh. Having been around the kingdom for generations, she felt ill each time they had to follow protocol for abandonment. She knew in her heart that the kingdom had to change to evolve. After assessing the child’s scan, Taholoh takes the child and cares for her secretly in her quarters until she is of training age. She names the child Trai’mega.

Meeting Trai’mega

The dragons arrive at the kingdom’s center, meeting Queen Kamiyrah in the garden. An incubation chamber holds a baby girl with a note tucked into her blanket. The Queen tries to open the chamber but is unable. She kneels beside Trai’mega and puts her hands over the chamber to retrieve memories associated with the child.

“Greetings, enchanted one. I am Taholoh of the Cabal Kingdom and deliver a gift and a sacrifice to you. This is Trai’mega, and she possesses extraordinary powers and one I believe to be a savior for us all. In our kingdom, women are not allowed to be a part of the King’s Court or hold any positions of power. There is a program that is designed to only birth male leaders, and any defects, female born babies, are abandoned to the village. Knowing the power that she possesses, I couldn’t just give her up. I have traveled these sacred roads in search of your gates and protection. Please raise her up, teach her all that she will need to know, for I feel one day, she will be the key to dismantling old systems and merging our kingdoms."

The Queen's glow intensifies as she continues to scan Trai'mega for memories and messages. "Lastly, enchanted one, I knew you would be the only one to hear this message. For long ago, it was I who delivered you to this very forest knowing that you possessed the power to connect with all living things. I knew the earth would provide passage for your development. You and Trai'mega are of the same world, and together possess a power unimaginable. Please help us."

As Tahaloh's last message finishes, The Queen places her hand at the base of the incubator and a light of yellow hue began to flash before sliding the glass tube open. Picking her up slowly, she locks eyes with Trai'mega, and says gently, "Looks like we have work to do young one." Trai'mega coos, sending a rupture of joy and applause throughout the forest. The Queen makes her way back towards her place of rest as the animals disburse in joy; welcoming Trai'mega, The Merger of Kingdoms, into their fold.
