It was an extremely cold day when Billy age six was skating on the pond. His older brother Thomas sixteen was watching from the side as his little brother was having a blast. This was going on for about twenty minutes, when suddenly, Billy went under the ice and into the water. Thomas ran to his car and retrieved his wet suit and rope, then slowly worked himself out to his little brother. It took him about five minutes to reach him and five minutes to pull him out. He slid back to the shore and and checked his brother. He didn't look good. His lips were turning blue and Thomas didn't know first aid or CPR.

As Thomas was pulling his little brother to shore unbeknownst to him two people got out of their truck and ran towards the little pond. Their names were Linda and Becky, they were lovers but who cares. They were also paramedics. They asked Thomas what happened and he explained Billy fell into the pond and he got his gear and got him out, but was unaware of first aid. They asked how long had he been like this and he said about fifteen minutes.

Becky started CPR on little Timmy, and then Linda got out the emergency blanket to make him warm again, while they took off his wet clothing. Linda ran back to their truck and got an emergency sleeping bag and put Timmy in it. They asked Thomas if he has a way to contact his folks and he said no. They let him use their cell phone to call his parents. Linda could tell mom was getting hysterical so she calmed her down. Becky calls for the squad and they arrive to the scene. Becky gets mom's permission to treat Timmy before she hangs up.

After two iv's and some ekg's little Timmy was just fine and allowed to go home. He met Becky and Linda, then gave them a big hug and a kiss. He thanked them for saving his life. Thomas told both women he was lost out there and was scared he was going to lose his little brother, then they showed up. He kissed them and said thank you. Both of the women were really touched and asked for the families address. They gave it to them and left the hospital. Both women said we were just happy to help.

A month later the boys received an invitation in the mail from the women. It was an invitation to Becky and Linda's wedding. Both boys showed their parents who were surprised. The next day, Becky shows up then sits down with the family. She said to the parents that she understands that gay marriages may not make sense to them. But Becky is the bride to be and since she has no living male relatives she wanted to know if Timmy would give her away at wedding. Timmy ran over and gave her a hug and kiss , then said yes, I will walk you down the aisle.

Timmy gained two additional aunts after this and they took him ice skating every winter. They had to break him of his fear of falling into the water again. They got Timmy into figure skating and he became one of the top figure skaters in the world. Timmy won five gold medals in the Olympics for his performances he was just that good. In attendance to watch was he mother, brother and two aunts. To this day he still talks about being rescued from the icy waters at the of six.
