In the depths of the forest, there lived a wise old owl named Hoot. Hoot was no ordinary owl; he had a gift that allowed him to speak to humans. However, Hoot knew better than to reveal this gift to just anyone. He only spoke to those he deemed worthy of his knowledge.

His rule wasn't always there, after all he did try to communicate with humans before, but it never ended well. He once asked for help to find the missing fawn a deer had lost, turns out they had hunted it and were trying to lure Hoot into a cage to sell him in the city. Another time was when his home was being torn down by these big machines that destroyed everything on its path, Hoot saw how many animals were suffering and decided to talk sense into the humans to prevent them from causing further harm. In the end it was futile, they cut down the whole forest and left nothing for the animals that lived there for generations. For days Hoot left assuring everyone he will be back to take them to a better place they can call home. luckily, he found a forest that was out of harm's way and guided all the animals towards it making sure everyone had a place to call home once again.

Since that day Hoot vowed to never share his gift to those who he deemed unworthy which sadly was nearly everyone he had come across with. He became the guardian for the animals and kept them protected from harm and poachers. Hoot also kept the forest protected from the humans, unless they weren't there to cause them or the forest harm they were allowed to stay as long as they pleased. Then something unexpected happened in one of Hoot's daily night watch.

One day, a young girl named Lily wandered into the forest. Lily was lost and scared, but Hoot spotted her and knew that she was different from the other humans he had encountered. Normally his judgment will tell him to avoid them, but this was different. He flew down to her and perched on a nearby branch.

"Hello, young one," Hoot said, surprising Lily.

Lily gasped in amazement. She had never heard an animal talk before. "Hi, Mr. Owl," she replied timidly.

Hoot could sense that Lily needed his help. She had wandered into the forest and was lost. He knew that he had to help her, so he decided to make an exception this one time and reveal his gift to her.

"Lily, I have a gift that allows me to speak to humans," Hoot said.

Lily's eyes widened in disbelief. "You can talk to me?" she asked.

Hoot nodded. "Yes, and I can help you find your way back home."

Hoot guided Lily through the forest, telling her which paths to take and which ones to avoid. Lily was amazed at how intelligent and helpful Hoot was. As they walked, Hoot shared his knowledge of the forest and the animals that lived within it. Even though Lily Didn't fully understand she listened intently and in awe.

Eventually, Lily made it back to her home, but she couldn't stop thinking about Hoot. She knew that he was an extraordinary owl, and she wanted to learn more from him. So, every day, Lily would visit the forest and speak to Hoot. "Hi Hoot!" she happily said as she made her way towards Hoot, "Hello, young Lily." He replied. Over time, they became good friends, and Lily learned many things from Hoot.

From that day forward, Lily had a newfound appreciation for the creatures that lived in the forest. She would often visit Hoot, and they would have long conversations about the world around them. Hoot was happy to have found someone who understood him and appreciated his gift. Together, they explored the forest and all its wonders, sharing a bond that could never be broken. One question still stand though, are there others that share the same gift as Hoot?
