Long ago there was a man named John who was sailing the wavy sea. It was very warm that morning but he set sail for America to go live with his family again. John was working at an island to study all of the bizarre insects that were there. John sailed for many hours now but he knew it would still take a couple weeks so he went into the cabin to rest for a while.

John woke up and was starting to notice that the waves were getting really rough so he got on the boat’s deck to see what was going on. The waves were not getting bigger but the waves were all getting smaller. All of the water from the ocean was just vanishing from John’s very eye’s. John ran back into the boat's room for shelter. About an hour passed and John went back to the Boats deck to see where he was. He was at the bottom of the ocean where it was mostly sand and a lot of fish flopping around. John was speechless and unsure of what he was going to do. A couple hours passed and John decided to get off the boat and get some fish to eat for dinner. When he got off the boat he started gathering fish then he saw something in the distance. It was very bright. He brought the fish back to the boat then went to investigate. Once every step he took closer to the light it got brighter, he got closer and closer and the light got brighter and brighter. He had made it to the light and it was a piece of metal stuck in the sand, he picked it up and it said on it “you must either walk ten miles from this point for further instructions or stay here and all of the water will be gone forever” John was not sure what to do it was only a couple hours before sunset and he wasn't sure what way he was even supposed to go. He thought about it for a little while when he saw in the distance again a really bright light. John then without hesitation started walking.

It wasn't the walking that was starting to concern John but it was that his feet were starting to blister and they were getting really sore. He thought that he should stop so he did but as soon as he sat down the light started to blink off and on, off and on it started blinking fast but then it slowed down . So he knew that meant he probably wasn't able to stop so he got up and started walking but the blinking had immediately stopped. The sun had just set and it was starting to become pitch black, the light was still not that bright yet so John knew that soon the light would be bright enough. Time passed, John had walked about 6 miles and the light was really bright now it had completely lit up his path. John’s feet hurt so bad he could barely walk but he knew that he was starting to get really close so he started to slow down to not hurt himself even more. He made it to the bright light he picked up the metal piece again to see it said “you may have made it all this way but you are not done you will either give up all of your belongings and money to bring back all of the water or have all of the money and necessities of the world but only enough water for yourself. John didn’t think about it for that long, he chose to give up everything for everyone to live and have water. John was never upset about this; he had tried to tell people what happened but nobody believed him. They all thought he was a strange person telling them this but only one person actually believed him and that person was his wife.
