Once a long time ago in a place beyond the normal understood geography there was a magical forest referred to as the Enchanted Woods. This was not like any other forest in the world; it was a land of enchantment where even the trees and the leaves and the animals had their own stories to narrate. That is where our story picks up – Lyra, a young girl who desired to go on an adventure and find a place further than the edge of her mundane existence.

Lyra is depicted as an intelligent and curious girl who has green eyes and auburn hair, moving with the wind. She was raised in a small village near the Enchanted Woods where many legends about the forest and the mysteries of the woods that can be found on its territory were heard. There were many stories, one of which involved the Whispering Winds, an enchanted spot in the forest in which it was believed that the winds could communicate with people.

One morning and with the first sunlight touching the roofs of her village, Lyra thought it was high time for her to find the Whispering Winds. With only a small sack of supplies, her compass, and determination, she ventured into the darkness of the woods.

This was no ordinary trek he was undertaking. As she moved in, the trees appeared to get even taller and the tops of the trees rose to form a canopy like in a church. It was cool and fresh with the aroma of flowers in the air and insects buzzing about. With each step, Lyra found herself surrounded by amazement and anxiety as if the very forest was urging her forward.

One day she had to walk for hours and to her surprise she came across something rather curios. In the middle of a small meadow, a great tree older than the cities towered, and its trunk was carved with symbols that shone dimly in the sunlight. Growing curious, Lyra stepped closer to the tree and touched it on the trunk part. As soon as she did, she heard a hoarse voice, as a breeze carries a whisper.

‘Keep to the light’ the whisper continued Pointer. Let the winds do the steering you only set the sails."

Lyra searched for the ground and saw a slim trail going to the left across the trees with the door to the grove open. And as she followed it, the forest seemed to alter. The trees grew even greener, while the foliage glittered as if it had caught the stardust. There were many peculiar, otherworldly beings in the surroundings, and the music of birds and wind could be heard in the air.

The sky became orange, and on the forest floor, shadows started to stretch out. Lyra looked forward toward home, her chest pounding with excitement. As if at the break of the night she arrived at a meadow that has been in the lunar rays. In the center of this area there was a water table, and below it, a crystalline lake, reflecting the stars in the night sky.

When Lyra reached near the pool, she saw that the wind was again whispering, and she could hear it clearly now. They talked about acceptance and moderation, about conformity to the environment and fitting in. Laying by the pool she decided to listen to the whispers and closed her eyes. At that time she also felt that she was part of that forest and she was experiencing a sort of deep-rooted rhythm of the forest.

Lyra patiently sat by the pool and listened to the Whispering Winds’ ancient advices as time seemed to come to a halt. And when she woke up and found herself in her bedroom, she only saw the serenity in the room and a clear conscience. She came to know that what she was in search of was not a location but it was balance- with the world and with her own self.

With this knowledge in mind, Lyra ventured back to the village she once lived in. The once formidable forest appeared friendly, and bent towards her with each mile that she conquered. She came back to her home as dawn was developing into a sky, and it was as if she had been gone for a lifetime and at the same time for no time at all.

The villagers welcomed her with happy faces and questions about her trip, which got them all excited to listen to her. Finally, Lyra told Will not only the story of the path and the glade, but also the lessons she had learned. She said things like, one must hear, it is necessary to hear and listen to the world, and get lost in the myriad of life.

Whispers of the town now named Lyra as the girl who found the Whispering Winds. She encouraged others to search for their own journey and to hear the murmurs of life and the universe. Finally, the Enchanted Woods was a land of wonder and at the same time the land of lost opportunities that can be revealed to every person if only he or she will listen to the right Thing.

And so the story of Lyra and the Whispering Winds passed from generation to generation, never to be forgotten by those who listened to the wind.
