The grudge in the river is looking for a substitute

Legend has it that resentful ghosts who died in traffic accidents like to find substitutes for death, and also like to find body doubles, as well as the ghosts of people who drowned. There are many rivers in my hometown. There used to be a river not far from my junior high school. Although the river is no longer clear, every summer, the boys in the class, especially the boys who live in the school, like to sneak to swim at night. The principal's speech after the flag-raising every Monday emphasized that he was not allowed to swim in the river whenever it was summer, saying that the river would take away a few lives every year.

The grudge in the river is looking for a substitute

The children in our village like to fold all kinds of paper boats by themselves. The more skillful children even use bamboo, wood or more advanced materials to make boats, such as discarded iron bobbin and egg shells at home. To get back to the point, one day, a group of children took their own boats to the river to compare whose boats floated longer and farther. Everyone was very happy when they got out of the water. A child about ten years old suddenly saw a big toy boat floating more than ten meters away. He couldn't see what material it was made of. Who made it? It was so beautiful! The boat slowly drifted off into the distance. The child grabbed a little friend and said, "Look, there's a big boat that nobody wants. Let's go get it. Before the little friend agreed, he couldn't help chasing the big boat. The little friend thought that everyone was soaking in the water every day and often played diving. The water was pretty good, so he left him alone and went to play by himself.

Everyone played until it was dark, and when they went ashore and were about to go home, they found that there was a missing person. They thought that this person had left in advance, and it had happened in the past that someone went home first, so they didn't pay much attention to it. At this time, a child found that the clothes of the missing little friend were still on the shore, so he quickly said it. At this time, another child also said that the little friend had called him to go fishing for a big ship together, went there, and never saw him again. Everyone felt that the matter was serious, so they quickly ran to tell the adults.

The adults followed the direction where the child's fishing boat had gone to salvage it. The darker the sky was, the more transparent it became, and the hope became increasingly slim. Finally, someone found the child's body in a whirlpool. When he died, his posture seemed to be to grab something desperately, but there was only a handful of hair in his palm. He grabbed it like his life and broke his knuckles before taking the hair out of his hand. When the child's body saw his mother, blood flowed out of his eyes and ears. I can now think of the scene of the poor child at that time. He should have been fascinated. Seeing that there was a whirlpool in front of him, he was afraid that the ship would be swept in, so he rushed over and grabbed the ship at once, but the whirlpool was much more terrible than he imagined. The child probably sank without calling out for help, so he still maintained this posture when he died. My father said that the hair grabbed by the child in his hand should be the ship he saw at that time, because the ghost likes to use a cover to attract the target it finds to go to the destination and then harm it.

Although there are many accidents in the river, it does not prevent children from going to the river to play in the summer. Generally, noon is because the river is heavily sunny and easy to get heatstroke; second, it is rumored that noon is the lowest time of the day, so parents do not approve of children playing in the water. However, parents have to work or work, and they can't keep an eye on their children at any time. Just in time, not far from the river, there is a river bend between the two mountains. This river bend will not get the sun for a day. Even when the sun is the strongest at noon, it is very cool here. Children play more and more forms, and the water in this river bend is very deep, so many people gather here at noon to compete with courage and jump into the water while standing on the cliff.

This time, it was a child who climbed to a higher position than the others in order to win against the other small partners and jumped down. Amidst everyone's cheers, he surfaced as the winner. At this moment, something terrible happened. He shouted and said, My foot was grabbed, I can't move! Then I saw him struggling desperately in the water. The water here was very deep, and the other children also froze and did not dare to go into the water. After a few struggles, he disappeared into the water.

But there is something even more strange. I am skeptical about this matter. I feel that it has been processed. Maybe when my dad heard about it, it has already been processed, because Dad said that the place where the child's body was found was the whirlpool where the previous child died. The difference between the two children's deaths is still far away, and the river bay is downstream. How did the body run so far upstream? Then the second child was found by the first child to die? But they were classmates and playmates together, how can it not be?
