Cassie

While Cassie sat in the barn, she could not help thinking that no one would ever find her. She met Pat on a popular dating site. He was charming. He seemed like the perfect teddy bear. He was the perfect gentleman. They had been dating for several months. She looked the barn over. It was a bit torn down. The boards were rickety. There were sparse animals here and there. It smelled of animal feces and blood. Being a nurse; she knew the smell of blood all too well. Never mind the fact that there was a decaying body in the corner. Somehow, she knew that soon too this would be her fate.

The wind howled outside, and she cringed. It made an eerie whistle as it made its way through the barn. The walls were sturdy but separating from the corners. The paint was brownish red. Was that to hide the blood stains? There were ropes and wires hanging from the beams. On the back wall there were knives, machetes, axes, hooks, more ropes, and various gags. Currently, Cassie was tied to a chair. It was a funhouse of horror. The rest of the walls were covered in mirrors. She did not realize that Pat had drugged her until she came to.

Outside there was a rustle. She looked up with intent and horrid eyes. He was back. What would he do? Would he torture her? She wanted to scream for help, but she was gagged. Pat walked in and stared at her. He stood in the door like a looming Grim Reaper. Cassie was frozen with horror. In his hands there was the head of her dog Snookie. Cassie began sobbing uncontrollably. There was nothing left for her in this world. Her parents were no longer around, and she was an only child who knew nothing of her estranged family. She attempted to reach out a few times, but was snubbed, or her calls were never returned. She gave up.

Looking for love; she decided to try online dating. Pat had reached out, and he said all the right things. Now that she recalls, they were all predatory. How much homework had he done on her before he reached out to her? She was insecure about her appearance. He told her she was beautiful. She was insecure about her weight. He told her that he loved a woman with a little meat on her bones. She was lonely. He comforted her. He was everything that she needed. Or so she thought. He even matched her for the types of movies that she liked.

She now regrets ever putting her life on social media. She gave him access to her entire world. The tears that flowed from her eyes were hot. Now, they were no longer tears of fear. They were tears of anger and frustration. She knew that at the first opportunity she got, she needed to stop him. Permanently. He moved closer sensing that she was no longer afraid or upset. The look in his eyes was not that of a killer. At least for her. He may even love her. Then what is it? Then, another shadow appears. It is barely light out. She cannot make out who it is. The only thing that she could make out is the sword in their hand.

The shadow walked slowly and deliberately. Upon reaching both Cassie and Pat only then Cassie realized it was her boss. She stood there. Her eyes glossy – almost empty. Cassie felt that Diana was looking through her rather than at her. It dawned on her. She would have never put it together until now. Pat is Diana’s brother! It only makes sense now. She did not put her finger on it, but he looked familiar. He also surprised her at how much he knew about the company she worked for. She is sapiosexual so she was blinded by her need for intellectual conversation. It was the perfect set up.

Diana grasps Cassie’s face in her hands. She leans in to smell her hair. One of her many fetishes. It was odd. Diana would hover over Cassie and take a deep breath. Cassie was just blissfully unaware of her surroundings. Her roses and rainbows attitude has landed her in a great deal of trouble this time. She knew that Diana was jealous of her, but not to this point. She never complained to HR about any of the outlandish requests that Diana required her to do at times. So, what is this? What does she want? It should be obvious right? Wrong. Diana slid her hands down the silhouette of Cassie’s body. Clearly, Pat does not like that.

Diana walks behind Cassie and pulls her hair just enough to expose her neck and kisses it. Pat turns away red with anger. Oddly enough, Cassie is thoroughly enjoying it. Both what Diana is doing and that it is making Pat jealous. Is it the drugs making her feel this way? She should be horrified. Terrified. And yet … It feels good. Diana takes the gag out of her mouth and kisses her passionately. Cassie shifts her body to take it all in. Diana picks up the sword that she placed on the table next to Cassie before cupping her face. In one fell swoop, the blade pierces Cassie’s leg. Cassie winces, but does not scream. Diana walks away.

The entire time Pat is holding onto Snookie’s head. Diana walks up to Pat and grabs it. She then proceeds to lick the dripping blood. Cassie does not take her eyes off them. As disgusting as it was, she was curious as to whether they were some sort of cult. It is obvious Diana controls Pat. Some sort of weird incest? She feels the warmth of the blood from her injury trickle down her leg. She shifts her leg causing Diana to drop the dog’s head and head back over to her. Diana takes two fingers to stroke her leg and licks them.

Cassie whispers to her to set her free. Diana looked as if she was contemplating it. A willing participant is sometimes better than an unwilling one. She removes the blade and uses it to release her prisoner. With that Cassie rubs her own leg and licks it. Diana, impressed by her actions, grabs Cassie, and kisses her again. This time Pat joins them. Alternately kissing them both. He lifts Cassie up on the table and proceeds to have his way with her. In Cassie’s mind – she formulates her escape. She knows that she must kill Diana. She may get away with Pat. But he is just as to blame.

Cassie allows them to enjoy themselves. She cannot deny how good it feels. She leans back. Diana pushes Pat out of the way, and he walks over to Cassie’s head to stroke her hair. As Diana climbs to dominate Cassie, Cassie takes the blade and plunges it directly into her heart. Ignoring the pain in her leg she kicks Diana to the floor. Falling face down, the blade pierces deeper into Diana. Cassie hops down from the table narrowly escaping Pat’s grasps. She hobbles to the door as fast as her legs would carry her. Only Pat lassos a rope around her neck. His face red with anger over the death of his sister.

Cassie falls back with a thud struggling to breath as the rope gets tighter as Pat pulls her back. She is slowly losing energy and feels herself near blacking out. Just then she sees her sister. She screams “Wake me up! Wake me up!” Her sister stares at her with dead eyes. Pat hoists the rope over a beam and tightens it. Cassie’s body jerks in the air. She is steady screaming “Wake me up! Wake me up!”. Her sister never moves. She hears her voice cry out begging Pat not to do it. He ignores her. Her eyes cross, then close and she loses consciousness, her body goes limp.

It is at that moment – Cassie jumps up out of her sleep. Pat stirs and asks if she is okay. She is visibly shaken. He assures her everything is okay. He wraps his arms around Cassie and assured her things were fine. She hopes. He holds her tight. She feels this piercing in her back, and then a warm liquid flowing down her shirt. She jumps up out of her sleep. She runs to the mirror and checks to see if she is okay. She groggily walks into the bathroom to wash her face. Her heart is racing. Snookie looks at her quizzically. She walks up to Cassie and rubs her paw on her foot. That was comforting to Cassie. She breathed a sigh of relief. No more drinking for her.
