The Ballad of the Mystic Chalice
Drinking Whispers
Written by Veronce(ai), disclaimed to be thy machine, hidden then in chalice I drink, even if by for a simple wink.
-
In a realm untouched by sun’s warm ray,
Where silver moonbeams softly play,
Lies a secret deep, in shadows' dance,
The tale of the Mystic Chalice’s trance.
-
Forged from dreams of an ancient seer,
Its surface mirrored, crystal clear,
Adorned with gems of endless night,
Each holding tales of love and fright.
-
The chalice, though humble in its grace,
Held the universe in a small space,
For a sip from its curve could tell,
The songs of angels, the cries of hell.
-
In its depths, stars would swirl and twine,
Each drop of nectar, pure, divine,
Promising knowledge, power, and more,
Yet demanding a price, folklore implores.
-
The legend speaks of a valiant knight,
Drawn to its allure, its mystic light,
Seeking answers, a quest in his heart,
The chalice's enigma, his journey to chart.
-
As he approached, his heartstrings played,
Songs of old, of debts unpaid,
But with courage firm, and intentions pure,
He hoped the chalice’s gifts to secure.
-
He touched the vessel, cold and sleek,
And the world around began to creak,
Time stood still, past met the present,
In the chalice’s dance, effervescent.
-
He saw birth and death, joy and despair,
The weave of fate, tales rare and fair,
Realms beyond and ages past,
The chalice’s magic, vast and vast.
-
But wisdom’s weight began to press,
On the knight's soul, a game of chess,
To drink or not, a choice so grave,
Would he be master, or the chalice’s slave?
-
With strength, he pulled away from the trance,
Realizing the risk, the deadly dance,
He left the chalice where it lay,
Seeking wisdom in another way.
-
The Mystic Chalice, still remains,
In that realm of endless planes,
Waiting for the next to try,
To unlock its secrets, or pass it by.
-
In hushed whispers, the bards do say,
Of the chalice’s power, to this very day,
A testament to desire and might,
The balance of darkness and light.
