"Tonight is the night that the world will stop. Tonight magic will start the talks." The thirteen women chanted the spell. "Esta noche ..."The spell changed from English to spanish. There were thirteen women from 13 different countries. These women were working together. Each women said two lines of the spell in their native languages.

They knew that they had more power than the world leaders. These macho men let their arrogance run the world. They sacrificed their citizens for their own beliefs and pride. These thirteen women had had enough. There spell would drain the world of it's power. There was no science that could counteract their magic. After all thirteen members had spoken the women formed a circle and joined hands. In English they jointly said "The worlds' power will stop".

Suddenly the room became dark. In fact the whole world became dark. There was no more tv or weapons system. Generators would not work. There would be no more missles sent tonight. The women lit their candles, and used their precharged phones to check that their spell had worked. They hugged each other, their plan was in fact in play.

The women knew that their countrymen would be in turmoil. Only the governing bodies would be confident in their arrogance. The women had sent a letter with their demands to the world's government leaders. The direct lines to other world leaders were the only means of communication which would remain working after peoples phones had died. Most of the leaders' employees had laughed when they read the letters. A few typed a return response. People vied for officials time and favor. They did not make demands of world leaders.

The woman in this covenant were going to force people of the world to work together and communicate. Now countries would have a dire need for peace. People would be forced to honestly negotiate.

In DC the scientists were at work, but the more they researched the more confused they got. None of their knowledge seemed to be of use. Congress sat in session. The capital was on alert.

The Taliban took advantage of the darkness to dispose of some of their undesirables, but when they realized what was happening their smiles faded.

The world had already lived through the covid crisis, but this was worse. Workers were not working at home. They were not working, and had no news of what was going on. The food in the market was going bad . In a debit card economy most trade would stop. Despite this, most world leaders still refused to budge on their positions. Both Israel and Hamas held firm in their positions.

The United states republicans who had been unable to elect a speaker for about two weeks, all of a sudden elected somebody. The woman in the congress, some of which had found the letter, insisted. Most of the Congress did not take the demands seriously. They thought there was something wrong with the power grid. It was just bad luck that both had happened at about the same time.

The thirteen women just sat and waited. They knew the control factor of men. They knew of the world leaders' arrogance. They had a spell to fix the problem but they had conditions that needed to be met. They knew it would take awhile for these men to abandon their opinions and beliefs.

Suddenly about a week later, when their letter had been pulled out, and the worlds economy was crumbling the leader's arrogance began to fade.

There was no news. Citizens of the world were in turmoil. The white house was surrounded by DC citizen's. The scientist's had given up. The president used his phone and called Israel. Israel called Hamas. The three leader conversed. Not with position rhetoric but about the reality in the world.

Putin called Ukraine. The line was silent for a while. Putin did not want to withdraw from the war , but his citizens were low on food, and there was no heat and the buildings were cold.

The Taliban, who had originally enjoyed the situation, were now drafting legislation to protect the rights of women. The thirteen women did not trust these leaders.

An agreement was not binding. It had to be declared a treaty. It would then be legally binding by international law.

The Taliban could not just pass laws in their country, they made some weird treaty with the United States, protecting their citizen's rights. The thirteen women had been furious about the way the taliban treated women. They were witches not politicians, they hoped a treaty was what was needed,

All of a sudden the coven's silence was interrupted by a phone. The call was from the US president. Biden had no idea who he was calling. He was praying they could fix the problem. The Israelis had signed a treaty. No more missiles would be flying across their border. Russia and Ukraine had also signed a treaty, and they had already been told about the Taliban. He was slightly surprised that he was talking to a woman, but he hid this , not wanting to appear disrespectful. The lead witch thanked him and informed him that they would fix the problem,

That night the coven gathered. In a circle they voiced their chant. "Tonight is the night that the world will return. Tonight our magic will restart the world" All thirteen women said their lines. Suddenly thier room was in light . Suddenly the worlds energy had returned.

The light went on in the oval office. Biden sighed in relief. He had no idea how it had happened. There had been no way to trace the call. He sat and cried. He had been humbled. The world had been humbled

The thirteen women faded back, into the world, as just another citizens. It was the secret of their coven.

If only taking away electricity will stop war. I would take away the power of weapon making. I would make a love spell so everyone would get along. Republicans need to stop making problem but solving problem in the House of Representatives. They are acting like a bunch of Aliens in there. This was very engaging story .
