Zhane & Vitani Chapter 1
Chapter 1 Summer Ends The final days of summer vacation shrouded the atmosphere of Miami, Florida. The jaded kids in the area were not looking forward to another year of school and mountains of homework. But over on 235 Lomaky Drive, there were two 12-year-old twins clashing for the controller to their Xbox One.

Spiro
I could sense her at the start of it all, before I knew of anything else. She was kind and full of hope. I could tell her soul was pure and true. I felt safe in the presence. There was another I could sense too, he was like me. He too was new to everything and this existence we both shared. I was not yet ready to see more and neither was he.

Circus: Hells Kitchen Chapter 3
Welcome To Life Jr walked out of a salon with dyed black hair. He looked into a nearby puddle and slightly smirked at how much he looked like his father’s human form. He turns to ask K where they should look first. He looked around and didn’t see K. He walked back inside the salon to see the workers swooning over K. They complimented on how great the black hair dye looked on him and worked well with his crystal blue eyes. Jr glared at K, “We need to go.” K nodded and excused himself from the workers and slid by to walk out. The workers called out in unison with either a ‘call me’ or ‘come back soon’.

Unwilling
A grown woman, at least by her own standards, Isabelle sat at the grind stone in her father’s forge. The large stone was being spun by the waterwheel being dipped into the river right outside the workshop. The river wasn’t the grandest, and Desmond, on more than one occasion, complained about the slow speed of the running water.

The Four Downs of Fall
The Four Downs of Fall By Adrian English The sun hid behind the clouds but revealed enough of itself so that the day was not completely ruined. The weather was perfect for sweatshirts and long-sleeved flannels. Leaves of rustic colors laid in their perfect spots in yards all over the neighborhood. Kids were in backyards getting ready for that one joyful event that coincided with the arrival of this time of year.

Circus: Hells Kitchen Chapter 2
Crack the Whip The wave of bats reformed into K sliding towards the scene. A scene he hasn’t allowed himself to forget even to this very day. K dropped to his knees, crying for the first time in his existence. Crying at the site of the big top on fire. Burning a dark blue and yellow flame. Burning under a dark sky that only smiled in K’s pale face.

The Old Barn
I tore through the thicket, barely registering the young saplings and bramble shrubs that scraped mercilessly at my bare arms and legs. Every tree looked the same. I could see no markers indicating that I was even headed in the right direction, but I couldn’t stop. The taunts and jeers of the others gave me speed as I tried desperately not to panic. With every frantic pump of my legs, my heart beat faster. Its cadence became so loud, it finally drowned out the voices trailing from behind.

Orb of Gidae
We stayed the night with Dioney. Misuni wanted to stay longer, studying the cave drawings that Dioney had created over the last hundred years or so. She often drew what she saw in her visions. The history of many peoples was found on her walls. So we stayed for another two nights, and Dioney and I grew closer still. She had often fascinated me, and I could tell her visions often burdened her. I visited her until I was fully grown and the wars had started in earnest. By then I was tired of the world and had decided to stay by myself in the forest. I didn't realize how much I had missed until then.

Circus: Hells Kitchen Chapter 1
Prayer Amira wakes up in her bed rubbing her eyes. She yawned as she knocked on the coffin on the other side of the room. “Jr, it’s morning. Get up or mom’s gonna be mad.” The coffin slightly opened, “Fiiiiiiiine.” a skeleton sluggishly came out the coffin. Amira kissed the skull after it rolled away from the body. Jr began to take on his human form while stretching. Amira told him how excited she was to get to help him and Avery plan the acts for the upcoming Circus. Jr didn’t react much to her excitement outside of the occasional smile.

Squire Sunday
Malagaunt smelled her old foe drawing in close. His scent was hard to miss—an odor of tobacco smoke, moldy cheese, rusted armor, and countless bitter regrets. Her snout picked him out easily, even in this vast forest land with all its creatures and castles and curses.
