Short Story
It was me...
Dear Reader: It still baffles me why we "molded" this site, but I couldn't do anything to change their minds about it. I was charged with preparing and dropping the samples at the indicated locations, but somebody else was responsible for monitoring and maintaining the equipment we use for that. You can't blame me for trying to "save" the mission when everything malfunctioned. If I was going to be remembered for anything, this would be the reason.

The Beginning
The quick footsteps of hundreds of soldiers echoed down the corridor. The rarely filled halls of the old military base had become a hive of activity. Shouts and gunfire rang out in chaotic bursts, followed by screams. Tull ran, his rifle clutched tightly in his hands, his breath ragged. Then—an explosion.

The Observer!
I’ve been watching her for three months. Same drill, day after day: coffee at 7:15, newspaper spread out on her kitchen table, red pen circling job listings. She has been out of work since the layoffs. I know because I’ve examined the envelopes in her mailbox unemployment checks, past-due notices, a missive from her mother in Tallahassee who doesn’t understand why she won’t just return home.

Selections from the Grand Bazaar
“Alright, how do they feel?” Mackey asked as Kendo wandered out of the salon towards the car. He was finally a soldier with the group and everyone would know who he ran with the second he opened his mouth from that day forward.

The Silent House on Willow Lane
The house on Willow Lane was everything I had ever dreamed of—a cozy cottage with a white picket fence, surrounded by tall, whispering trees. It was the perfect escape from the chaos of the city, and the price was surprisingly low. The real estate agent said it had been on the market for years, but I didn’t think much of it. I was too excited to finally have a place to call my own.

The Forgotten Letter: A Secret From the Past
It all began on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I was cleaning out my attic, sorting through boxes of old memories, when I stumbled upon a dusty, yellowed envelope tucked beneath a pile of forgotten books. The handwriting on the front was delicate, almost poetic, and it was addressed to someone named "Eleanor." My heart skipped a beat—Eleanor was my grandmother’s name, but she had passed away years ago.
