Short Story
Heart Me
Amelia sat by the huge window of her favourite café, the golden afternoon light creating a lovely glow on her sketchbook. She'd been coming here for years, finding peace in the familiar hum of conversations, the rich aroma of coffee, and the ever-changing vista of the busy street outside. Today, however, her mind was on the blank sheet in front of her. She needed ideas for her next piece, but her head felt as blank as the page.

Escape to the Glass Egg in the Sky
Every night as I drift off to the land of nod, I hope beyond hope that I will have one of two of my frequented dreams. The scenarios change, but the core of the dreams remain steadfast. Unyielding a manner that brings me comfort and joyous anticipation. The mere thought of them makes me giddy. I cannot touch them, cannot photograph them - just experience them, which almost makes them more real than real life because there is nothing to distract me from them. I'm completely entrenched in this reality whilst I am unconscious; dreaming.

Papa Legba's Midnight Vigil
Title: Papa Legba's Midnight Vigil: A Journey of Reflection and Connection Chapter 1: The Railroad Tracks Maya embarked on a solitary journey to the railroad tracks in the still of night. The soft flicker of candlelight enveloped her in a warm, golden glow, revealing the vibrant colors of her surroundings under the moonlit sky. As she walked along the rusted tracks, the earthy aroma mingled with the crisp night air, carrying the faint scent of wildflowers. Maya's rhythmic prayers echoed through the air, accompanied by the distant whistle of passing trains and the gentle rustling of leaves. In her picnic basket, she carried refreshing cucumber-infused water, fried tilapia and plantains cooked in palm oil, and a crisp garden salad full of a variety of fresh vegetables and fruit drizzled with tangy blue cheese dressing.
