She Never Said 'Let Them Eat Cake'
Episode 3 Shelia could not stop smiling. She had discovered and blown up the local Insane groups’ insanely large arsenal. By herself she destroyed all that potential for hurting people. She kept seeing in her mind all the weapons in that decrepit barn on Bedbug Road. Bedbug Road had surprisingly well manicured crushed stone for having mostly empty and abandoned lots on both sides.

December had wrought a fierce winter upon the town. Victoria had lingered in the sitting room most of the day, watching the grey sky as it littered snowflakes across her lawn. She had neglected her duties, to her own shame, as she sank into a mood darker than the clouds above her, for today was a grave day; a reminder that she was still alone, unwed, and bitter. A disappointment not only to her parents, who desperately wished for her to embark upon the next stage of her life's journey, but also to herself. She wished to remove herself from this manor, whose walls reminded her of entrapment, whose fields swept long and unending, like the depression that had taken her in her younger years.

At the kitchen table in an old farmhouse, we sat and talked for what felt like hours. The cake in front of us disappeared as we took in each other’s words; and when the last piece had been scooped off the plate, she collected the dishes and rose from her seat. An audible silence fell over the room, and I could hear each of her steps as she shuffled to the counter –just as well as I could feel everything that was left unsaid. She rested the plates in the kitchen sink, and then gripped the edge of the counter as she took in a deep breath. She sighed the air back out into the room, and I could feel the shaking in her chest.

When I was a child, my mother and I would see these old, dilapidated barns in the middle of nowhere and dream about fixing them up. We would laugh and say it had good bones when that was all that was left. We would talk about how everything would look, from the log cabin exterior to the flat stone flooring and plush rugs. A huge kitchen with double ovens and spacious bathrooms with huge sunk-in claw foot tubs. Today I bought one! I went out and paid in full, for the 30 acres of land and the dilapidated old red barn with a white house with grey shutters. The house is a move-in ready 1 story, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, with an attic. It has my kitchen with the double ovens and the master bedroom has my sunk-in claw foot tub! There are 27 acres of wheat farm run by those before me. I kept them on as part of the deal to purchase the house. My goal obviously is to repair the barn & get a few cows. The first step, buy lumber and tools. You can’t repair a building without tools after all.

The next day, I walked up to the Education Hall with Orville. It was a bit relieving to have someone know my secret who could help me out. He was right though; I really didn't know much of anything about Klicta. As well as I might have been doing so far, I could still use all the help I could get.

The only entrance to the resort was by boat. This was Marcy's longest voyage with her mother. Once the ship had come to a stop, they then boarded a paddle boat to reach the shallow rocky waters before the resort.
