He made a conditional stride, his minuscule paws scrabbling for buy on the unpleasant bark. The world shifted, his heart pounded, however a flood of invigoration washed over him as he crawled forward. The woodland floor was a disclosure. Oak seeds, stout and brown, littered the ground, a gala for inquisitive eyes. In any case, risk snuck as well. A stir in the undergrowth sent Pip scrambling up a close by tree, his ragged tail jerking with apprehensive energy.
