The Song of Homecoming
Rain lashed against the windowpanes, the sound a familiar counterpoint to the rhythm of Liam's anxious heart. He sat by the window, bathed in the warm glow of a single lamp, its light spilling out onto the rain-soaked path leading up to their cozy cottage. It had been six long months since Elara, his adventurous musician, had embarked on a tour across the continent, leaving behind a void in his life and a promise whispered in his ear, "Six months on the road, my love, then forever back to you."

Ghost Bride
Sammy looked at the candle that was flickering in the small dark room. It cast a golden sheen on the dead boy’s face. The two of them were quite alone. She could see the beginning of a beard on his chin, which would never mature into anything, beyond a bit of dark scruff. He had been almost eighteen when he died of fever. His name was Chol Son. He laid there quite dead and strangely handsome - in a beautiful black suit, white shirt, and black silk tie – the best that money could buy.

Love Lost
My Bess, It snowed today for the first time this season, sending me back in time. My mind raced with glittery thoughts of that last winter in school. The muted landscape kept our secrets, covering our snow angels as they began side by side, then became only one. Your breath fogged over my face, and your nose cold. But your lips were wet and warm and tickled my ear. Your eyes were bright, and your cheeks pink. As we trudged, sinking to our knees in places, your hand was deep inside my mitten, straining the threads and holding my hand.
