The Wall That Whispered
If walls could talk, oh, the tales they would tell. I am a wall, and I stand as a witness to the centuries worth of history that has been encapsulated within these walls. I am the Great Wall of China, the longest wall in the world and the most recognizable of all fortifications. I am almost 2,300 years old, and in that time, I have witnessed the establishment and destruction of dynasties, the fighting and the spilling of blood, as well as the joy and sorrow of untold generations.

Time was slipping away, and with it, Joon's hopes. He needed to find Wymand's portfolio soon. It must be here! He thought, running the candlelight along the joints and cracks of Wymand's heavy desk. The Conversation
~A landing and a piece of reluctant news~ Night sky stretched out in a blanket of stars above the French Caribbean island. Lights marking a small private runway blinked to life. Above the sand and water a Gulfstream G800 circled the small airfield. The air traffic controller in the tower came to life granting permission for the private jet to land. A line of black SUV's pulled out of one of the T-hangers that lined both sides of the airfields only taxiway.
