Waste Summoner: The Rebellious Little Evil Consort, Chapter 3
The breathing of the beast grew louder, and Yun Bei had no choice but to leap and grab the chain. Gritting her teeth, she climbed up. Not long after, she felt a tremor beneath her, and the chain shook violently. Yun Bei quickly tightened her grip, looking down to see a massive, pitch-black creature turning its head below, as if sniffing something. Its body was still hidden within the mouth of the cave, with only its head visible in the moonlight. With bloodshot eyes, Yun Bei couldn't make out its features clearly. After a few sniffs, the beast let out an angry roar and bit into the still-twitching wild buffalo.

The Lady At Night
I woke up in the middle of the night one time because I was sick. This was years ago. Due to my illness, I wasn't really conscious of my surroundings then. I could barely walk, stare without my eyes getting weary, so I kept to my bed all the time and had my mother doing everything for me. So, this one time, I jerked up in the middle of the night, with the pressing need to have my mother's nearby. Not for anything specific. I called out to her, with a voice as weak as my limbs. In the near darkness of my room, I saw, through my drowsy eyes, the door of my room slowly swing open, then a woman who I thought in my half-awake state to be my mother walking in. The woman came to my bedroom, sat on my bed, held me by my right arm and began to fan me. Noticing how I shivered although my body was burning hot, the woman rubbed me over my body with something I presumed to be kernel oil. I slowly went to sleep afterwards. When I woke up the next morning, I staggered outside for breakfast, and made a remark to my mother, about how I felt better because of the thing she rubbed on my body the previous night, thanking her. Much to my shock, my mother said she never came into my room the previous night, and my dad attested to this. They were together the whole night. When I persisted, my mother laughed and said I was probably dreaming. The weirdest thing was, two days later, rashes began to spread all over my body, starting right from the spot the woman had held my hand. It was chickenpox. Please if you found this story entertaining, don't forget to leave a ♥️, a comment and a follow, it really encourages me.

William's Things
Opal slept on her belly like a dog all summer. It was too hot to open the drapes or the shutters, so she contented herself with lying in the cool darkness beneath her bed, or in the bare porcelain bottom of the bathtub with a book fanned open in her lap and her feet kicked up over the side. There was a little square window at the foot of the tub whose glass was all wavy; when Opal looked through it, she felt as though she were seeing a distorted reflection in a ripply pond. She liked to imagine that the weird, wobbly world behind the glass wasn’t an illusion at all, and that if she were to open the little window and crawl through, that the trees and houses and street lamps would all remain bent at strange, impossible angles, and that she would become a part of this interesting world too. Alas, the window looked as though it had never been opened, and Opal went back to her book.

The Forgotten Garden
In the heart of the ancient forest, where sunlight barely pierced the thick canopy of leaves, lay a forgotten garden. Its existence was a whisper among the elders, a tale spun by grandmothers to entertain wide-eyed children. But to Arden, it was more than a myth; it was the key to unlocking the mysteries of his past. Arden was an orphan, raised by the kindly woodcutter, Elias, who found him abandoned at the edge of the forest. As he grew, Arden's curiosity about his origins deepened, fueled by dreams of a lush garden and a woman with eyes like emeralds. One crisp autumn morning, as golden leaves danced in the breeze, Arden stumbled upon an old, overgrown path hidden beneath a tangle of brambles. With a heart pounding with excitement, he followed it deeper into the forest until he reached a clearing bathed in dappled sunlight. Before him stretched a garden unlike any he had ever seen. Flowers of every hue bloomed riotously, their fragrance filling the air with sweetness. Trees bowed under the weight of ripe fruits, and a gentle stream whispered secrets as it wound its way through the verdant paradise. As Arden explored the garden, he felt a sense of belonging wash over him, as if he had finally come home. But his reverie was interrupted by a soft voice behind him. "You've found it," the voice said, and Arden turned to see a woman standing at the edge of the clearing. She was ethereal, her skin glowing with an otherworldly light, and her eyes sparkled like the jewels in a king's crown. "Who are you?" Arden asked, his voice barely a whisper. The woman smiled, a smile that held centuries of wisdom and sorrow. "I am Lysandra, guardian of this garden and keeper of its secrets." As they talked, Arden learned that Lysandra had once been a queen in a land long forgotten, her kingdom swallowed by the mists of time. She had created the garden as a sanctuary, a place of beauty and peace in a world plagued by darkness. But as the years passed, memories of her kingdom faded, and Lysandra became trapped within the garden's enchantment, unable to leave its confines. Determined to help Lysandra break free from her prison, Arden embarked on a quest to unravel the mysteries of the garden. With each step, he unearthed long-lost treasures and battled ancient guardians until finally, he stood before a shimmering portal at the heart of the garden. With a whispered prayer, Arden stepped through the portal, emerging into a world bathed in golden light. Before him stood the ruins of a once-great kingdom, its crumbling walls a testament to the passage of time. And there, amidst the ruins, stood Lysandra, her eyes shining with tears of joy. "Thank you, Arden," she said, her voice echoing across the centuries. "You have given me back my freedom." As they walked together through the ruins, Arden realized that he had found not only the answers to his own past but a future filled with endless possibilities. And as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the forgotten garden, Arden knew that some stories were meant to be written in the stars, their beauty enduring for eternity.
