Waste Summoner: The Rebellious Little Evil Consort, Chapter 4
They want me dead

"Second Master just entered the city gates; he couldn't have gone far. Wait here, I'll go bring him back..." After a night's journey, Yun Bei finally saw Yun's Castle and felt as if she was floating as she walked. In a daze, a figure sprinted towards her from the direction of Yun's Castle.
"Bei Bei..."
"Second Grandfather..."
Yun Bei revealed a relieved smile and collapsed to the ground, face up. With her Second Grandfather, Yun Jingfeng, around, no one would hurt her again. Yun Jingfeng, Yun Lei's younger brother, was the only one in the Yun family who cared for her. Because he had been busy with this year's talent test, he wasn't at Yun's Castle, which allowed Yun Nan and Yun Lei to take advantage of his absence and lead her to her death...
Yun Bei didn't know how long she had slept, but in a haze, she felt someone holding her arm, startling her awake. A weight pressed on her shoulder as she was pinned down.
"Don't move!"
"Second Grandfather..."
Yun Jingfeng looked at her seriously, a rare expression for him, which made Yun Bei too scared to move. She turned to look at her arm, slender and pale, now marked with red lines. Seeing the marks, Yun Bei was also taken aback; she had been torn and bleeding, but now she was left with only marks.
"That's not right, I used the old formula... Why is the effect so good this time? It's only been a day, and the wounds have healed?!" After muttering to himself, he examined Yun Bei's arm for a long time before realizing she was awake and quickly helped her up.
"How do you feel now?"
Yun Bei moved a bit and felt fine, smiling, "Second Grandfather, I'm very well, nothing's wrong..."
Yun Jingfeng scratched his head, looking at her with a complex expression in his eyes, and gestured for her to get up.
"There's steamed buns and white porridge on the table, eat something first..."
Yun Bei, who was starving, rushed to the table and stuffed a bun into her mouth. Yun Jingfeng watched her, his eyes filled with complicated emotions.
"When I found you, you were battered and barely breathing. On the way to this medicine hut, I thought I couldn't save you... But a miracle happened, not only are you out of danger, but your wounds have healed..."
Yun Bei's brows were calm as she quietly ate her bun and drank her porridge, unflustered beyond her years.
"I've heard about what happened to you... You and Fang Lin... Such a thing, I believe you could never do..."
"Your belief is useless, it doesn't matter who believes..."
Yun Bei's clear eyes looked at Yun Jingfeng, her expression contained no ripples.
"Second Grandfather, we both know, they wanted me dead... The matter with Fang Lin was just a fuse. They just used this fuse to do something they've wanted to do for many years..."
Her calm analysis shocked Yun Jingfeng. A disaster had made this child understand life and death, see through the coldness of the world, and become frighteningly composed. Yun Jingfeng looked into her eyes, deep as the vast starry sky, mysterious and boundless. In those black eyes, there was no anger, no pain, no fear or despair from before, and the innocence was gone.
With a long sigh, he shook his head and stood up.
"I have no sons, and the one I loved most was your father... Unfortunately, he died young. Before he passed, he entrusted you to me... He knew what kind of man his father was, so he made him swear an oath that when you turned thirteen, he would hand over the property that belonged to you..."
