The Future of Reality
"In the realm of the unexplored, a ravishing landscape of tomorrow beckons us forward, like a siren's call to the brave and the bold. The future of reality whispers secrets of a world yet to be unveiled, where the frontiers of dreams and destiny converge like the tender embrace of two lovers. As we stand at the precipice of this uncharted territory, our hearts race with anticipation, our minds aglow with the promise of discovery, like a sunrise bursting forth with radiant splendor. For in this future, reality itself becomes a canvas of boundless potential, a kaleidoscope of color and sound that redefines the very essence of our existence, like a masterpiece of art that transcends the boundaries of time and space. In this realm, the symphony of life resonates, a celestial music that harmonizes the discordant notes of our past, present, and future, like a gentle breeze that soothes the soul. Time and space become fluid, malleable, and we, the navigators of our own destiny, charting the grand odyssey of our lives, like brave explorers venturing into the unknown. The future of reality is a realm of enchantment, where the impossible becomes tangible, and the boundaries of our imagination are stretched like the unfurling petals of a flower, revealing the hidden beauty within. It is a world where technology and wonder converge, where the digital and the mystical entwine like the tender shoots of a vine, nourished by the sunshine of our dreams. Here, the very fabric of reality is transformed, like a caterpillar that emerges as a radiant butterfly, free to soar on the wings of our highest potential. The leaden weights of our fears, doubts, and limitations are transmuted into the golden radiance of our highest potential, as we ascend the spiral staircase of our evolution, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. In this future, we are the architects of our own reality, the masters of our own fate, crafting our lives with the precision of a skilled artisan, weaving the tapestry of our existence with the threads of our choices, our desires, and our dreams. We become the artists of our own existence, painting the masterpiece of our lives with the vibrant colors of our imagination, like a poet who weaves words into a tapestry of beauty. And yet, this future is not without its mysteries, its shadows, its unknowns, like the depths of the ocean that remain unexplored. For as we venture deeper into the uncharted territories of reality, we confront the enigmas of the unknown, the darkness that lies at the edge of our understanding, like a challenge that beckons us to grow. But it is in this darkness that we discover the light of our own inner strength, the resilience of our own hearts, the power of our own imagination, like a beacon that shines bright in the night. For in the future of reality, we are not merely passive observers, but active participants, co-creators of our own destiny, like a conductor who orchestrates the symphony of life. As we embark on this journey into the unknown, we are filled with a sense of awe, of wonder, of reverence for the majesty of the universe, like a pilgrim who approaches a sacred shrine. We are reminded that we are not alone, that we are part of a larger whole, a cosmic web of life that connects us all, like a river that flows into the ocean. And so, we step forward, into the future of reality, with faith, with hope, with courage, like a hero who embarks on a quest for greatness. For we know that in this realm of wonder, anything is possible, that the boundaries of our imagination are the only limits to our potential, like a sky that stretches out to infinity."

Children of the Summer
It was an unforgiving one hundred and four Fahrenheit in the valley that day. No breeze drifted down from the mountains to the arid stretch of desert where we had all gathered. The high-noon sun loomed overhead, heating the red sand beneath my thin leather soles. Devil’s Valley. I never thought I would be there, and I never would have had my baby there -- if there was any other way.

What if all animals had intelligence equal to that of humans?
I am sure your timeline is full of these cute creatures taking a warm bath as if the problems of the world do not exist. Yeah, I get it. The largest rodents in the world do not have that macho look of wise sayings all around them but they are known to be rather intelligent. Research shows, they are even more intelligent than two year old children and or average dogs. The thing is, though dogs can be obedient, capybaras have their mind of their own and their way of doing things. So, if you ask them to do a rollover, they either start to say to themselves, ‘Oh no, not again,’ and then invent their own crazy way of doing it, or simply will not do it.

The Appalachian Revival
Emerald hills lay stair-stepped in the shadows of majestic mountains splotched with brownstone outcroppings. Molly stumbled down the two-mile-long rutted road at the center stage of the natural Appalachian amphitheater. Her new twenty-dollar tennis shoes blistered her heels and sweat beaded on the nape of her neck. I hope the woman's deodorant ads were accurate, she thought, or my body odor won't be a secret for long.
