The Legend of Wu
CHAPTER ONE There weren't always dragons in the Valley of Valdez. Valdez was a quiet place in New Mexico. There were farmers and ranchers who tended to their cattle and horses. On occasion the only fire that existed was the fire that created the most awful stench of a smell from one burning their trash from time to time.

Bodies
I lived in a small town with my wife and 2 kids, they left for while but we lived in a nice house near a lake and I loved sitting on the deck watching the fish, turtles alligators and birds. It was a beautiful quiet house beside nature but I sat and wonder what happened to the bodies I throw in the lake, did the current take them away, did the creature eat them, I sat drinking my coffee when someone ringed the door bell. I put my coffee down and walked inside to the front door, "who is it", "its the police", I opened the door and seen two police officer and Clara boss, "yes can help you", "yes, we received notice that your wife haven't been to work in 8 months and the kids stop showing up to school, do you know where they may be", "yes she went to her parents house cause we got into a argument", "oh ok, can you tell her to give us, her boss and the school a call", "I will, thank you", they walked away but I know this wasn't going to be the last of them. I got a text saying "do you wanna meet up", it was clara nasty whore of a friend that made us argue, it was her fault what happened to my wife and kids, "yes would love to meet up beautiful, have that sexy outfit ready", she sent me a picture with the beautiful red lingerie she bought for me, I grabbed my keys and went to her address. She was going to pay for ruining what I had, she was going to pay for everything. I slowly started to drive down her street but seen the same two police officers at her house, I turned down the street and went back to my house, "that birch probably told them about what we did, that bitch is going to get me caught", I arrived back at my house and ran upstairs and packed my bags then someone knocked I knew it was the police or that whore. I calmly walked down the stairs and opened the door, it was her and the two police officers, "can we come in", "yes please", they walked in and I secretly locked the door, "this way" I walked them to the living room and they sat down and got right into it, "we know about you and ms.pepper", "so we need to know where your wife is", I sat looking at them then angry filled my head and heart, that birch snitched on me, "im sorry I told you were she is", "your lying about where your wife and kids are", "you need to get rid of them", Clara said to me, "why", cause their going to take you away from us and our house, "why what", the officer said, "kill them and throw them in the lake, then came join us but you have to get one of them into the kitchen, that bitch i prefer", "ok", "ok what", the officer said, "ill tell ms.pepper and she will tell you", "ok", "ms.pepper come with me please", she got up and followed me into the kitchen, I asked her to get the pot from the bottom of the sink and when she came back up with all my power hit her with the rolling pan and kept hitting her. I grabbed the gun from the draw and put it in my butt packet, I walked back into the living room and they asked where is ms.pepper, I quickly grabbed the gun and shot one officer in the head but I wasn't quick enough and the other officer shot me in my stomach, he got on his radio and called for back up and ambulance, he went to the kitchen and checked on that whore, I struggled to get up grabbed the gun and as he walked back into the living room on his radio, i shot him 7 times. I dropped the gun then grabbed the two officer by their leg and dragged them to the lake, I didn't even have to throw them in the lake, the alligators dragged them in themselves, I went back for the bitch and she was still alive, "you dimb bitch", "please stop", "you made me kill my wife and kids, she was going to leave me because of you", "its not my fault", "it is your fault your stupid whore", I grabbed her by her legs, she kicked me in the face, I slapped her and grabbed her legs tighter and dragged her to the edge of the lake. She tried to ran away but one of the alligators grabbed her leg and dragged her into the lake, "help me please", I ignored her and watched as they tore her apart, "good job baby, now go back and come join us", I started to walk back to the house when full police and FBI came to the backyard, "hands up, put your hand up", "don't listen to them", I looked at them and reached for nothing in my packet and they fired just like I knew they were.

Kaldera:
Chapter One: Strength in Numbers A- Badlands There weren’t always dragons in the valley. There was a time when life was so much simpler back in the days of King Jovana Grace, a man focused on his own royal family and less on a focused rule over his rightfully given lands. The forests were lush and green, the lakes pure and clean, teaming with life. Animals scurried throughout the forest as not only a source of food for the many who inhabited the lands but controlled the populations of invasive plants and rodents brought into the kingdoms via ships at the port. Kudzu from the far eastern lands destroyed many trees, but the hares and boars ate the Kudzu and other grasses and weeds, while the sabre cats ate the boars, and man hunted sabre cats as a source of tradable furs and hides. There were also large deer and wild bovine that roamed the grasslands near the swamps, and the lakes were plentiful with many species of fish. There were the coast lands where the Sulphur Sea provided cuttlefish, shellfish, and shark meat for the lands, but all of that was different now.

The Uncovering
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. The fragments of bone found in the Great Lakes basin were identified as dinosaur fossils, or remains of ancient turtles. As far as most regular North Americans were concerned, dragons belonged in fairy tales.

Your Majesty
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Every now and then, the near-empty place in Imogen's hazy dreams featured aquamarine stags wandering through the overgrowth, or slow-moving yaks covered in rose petals, which they shook off like shedding fur. She never stopped to ask herself, 'what did it mean?' because it didn't matter. Nothing mattered in that place.

Tuesday Night at The Cheating Moon
There weren't always dragons in the valley. At least not as long as the girl could remember. And her memory was as long as an unspooled silken ribbon. She could wind the threads of recollection effortlessly along her tapered fingers, weaving a portrait of time's cocoon, long shuffled off and keened to the seven winds. She breathed deeply, stepping out of the hewn doorway of the inherited family dressmaker boutique. There was a strange scent hanging heavy on one of the several autumn mistrels that caressed her cheek: ochre, ash blossoms, and brimstone.

Bonds of Scale & Bone
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. They burst from the cliffs like a serpentine plague over a decade ago. Their shadows clogged the sky as their fire rained on the people, destroying the Valley in just a night. Legends said they laid dormant for centuries in a magical sleep. Others said it was the fault of the fae—that their war spilled into the mortal lands and dropped the veil protecting the poor innocent humans living in the flourishing valley. In the end, no one knew the truth about how the magnanimous beasts had appeared so quickly and destroyed everything in their path.
