Dragon Blood
There weren’t always dragons in the valley…at least not until I brought them here. The sun was coming up between the mountains, while a rolling mist danced on top of the lake. The two moons were still visible far off in the distance and the air was cool. The purple sky was always eye-catching in the early hours. The dragons were stretching their wings as they woke. Water sprayed from the backs of some of the ones that were bathing as they shook it off; causing fights among the young ones, who didn’t seem to approve of cold morning baths. The purple sky would fade into a pale orange in about an hour. That’s about the time they would take to the skies to find food and bring it back to the nests. They would return with small living creatures for the whelps, to help teach them the hunt. It was an amazing thing to watch, from a distance of course. You didn’t want to become their breakfast.

Under a Stone Sky
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. But as with any new aliti site, they flocked to it now in their thousands. Wings and spiny tails shaking with the wind, making the brushy slopes of the Urosai Vale look like a wheatfield in the dawn breeze at her back.

From the Dragon's Shadow
There weren't always dragons in the valley, there were, however, the Zeltrys; an advanced yet ancient civilization of intelligent reptilian-like humanoids who've existed for many millennia. No one knows where they originated from, nor if there were others before them, but they most certainly did outlive them, as well as many, many more humanoid species; Peirrins, Baghlogs, Eledegens, Veriuns, Pheuys, Rhgerls and so forth...

The Amalgamation
“There weren’t always dragons in the Valley!” read the poster stapled to the bus stop. Next to the text was a picture of a red serpent coiled around a cartoon dollar symbol. The little cartoon dollar had eyes that were rolled upwards, indicating that it was being choked by the serpent, who had a vicious snarl on their face and smoke coming out of their nostrils.

The Girl in the Red Scarf
“There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. When I was a little girl, we had never even heard of such things. Back then, the hills were green in the spring and golden brown during harvest time. The rivers ran with water so cold and fresh, it was like drinking fresh snow. My friends and I would spend all day in the fields, playing between endless rows of wheat and corn. In summer, the branches of fruit trees would grow so heavy that even babies just learning to walk could grab a treat from them.”

The Unraveling - Chapter 1
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. It was actually rare to see the majestic beasts descend from their mountainous lairs. Those who lived in the area were happy to be ignored by their enormous neighbors, even offering some of their livestock in order to keep the peace. For centuries the peace of Sinnifer Valley had been a lasting one, and then suddenly it had all changed. The locals spoke in hushed tones of their recent visitors from the League of Sorcery. The secretive order of sorcerers had arrived only days before the dragons had begun migrating into the Valley, so surely the League had some part to play in the sudden behavioral change of the fiery beasts. Yet no one was certain of the purpose of the League’s presence as they had laid claim to the very center of Sinnifer and then actively kept people away. A few brave - or perhaps foolish - souls had attempted to get past the League’s blockade. The first ones had returned whole but obviously under some sort of enchantment. Then the disappearances started.
