Last Stop for Salvation
“Good, you're awake, we haven't got much time.” I jolted upright from the cot at the sound of the voice. A panicked feeling washed over me like I was late for an exam. My head began to tingle and I felt like I might throw up. I must have gotten up too fast. I sat back down and tried to steady my breath so I wouldn't pass out.

Rebirth
The man was laying on a bed. He opened his eyes and, after a few minutes of patiently lying still, his eyes got used to the dim lighting. No thoughts raced through his mind; his only desire was to get up and explore. After a couple of efforts, he managed to stand on his feet. Cold sweat was sliding down his slender neck. He wiped his forehead with his forearm and thought he smelled rather bad. He looked around and didn’t recognize neither the setting nor the clothes he was wearing. In fact, he didn’t recognize much. Even his own walk felt foreign, peculiar.

SOMETHING UNEXPLAINABLE IS HAPPENING…
Her head was pounding from the inside out. Drumming on her brain like a marching band. The more she began to wake from her slumber, it seemed her entire body was aching from head to toe. Muscles in her back felt like tiny razors digging and scraping through her skin. Her eyes felt as prickly as a cactus, burning around her eyelids. Her throat was a desert, scratching all the way down her windpipe. It eventually dawned on her; she was sat on a train.

Sacred Silence
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Boaz had thought once or twice he could hear a shout or a gasp from his friends when they played outside the City domes and tripped or slipped between the boulders. As an adult he had no such illusions, only random tricks of the mind when he remembered his younger days.

The Realm Hopper
Rumbling. There was a rumble beneath me. It was rhythmic, swaying, constant. I blearily opened my eyes, trying to look around. It was dim, and it took a moment for my eyes to adjust. When they did, I glanced about, growing more confused by what I saw. Last I remember, I had been backpacking in the woods. I had just entered a cave that I had wanted to explore. I recall that I had found a source of light there, but I remember... nothing else. Now, I looked to be in a small room with two long, cushioned seats that faced each other, and cherry red paneling for walls. There were shelves of polished wood above both seats, and a soft, mossy colored carpet padded the floor. There was a door trimmed in silver to my left, and an ornate window of green stained glass was to my right. Outside the window, objects were blurring by, and quickly. I was in a moving vehicle of some sort. From the set up and the speed, I was probably in a train. But how did I end up on a train of all things? I had been in the middle of the woods!

All Will Know
Everything feels so strange... I sense the world returning to me in bits and pieces. Sound... I hear a loud whistle rattle my ear drums. Touch... my face feels whips of wind, nearly forcing my body to slide against the stone-cold floor. Sight... my eyes gradually begin to open, but everything at first is a blur; my vision is smeared, like some abstract painting I didn’t mean to bring. Smell... my nose begins to burn from the wafts of burnt air I breathe in; smoke is very close by. Taste... the waves of iron swish around in my mouth… It's fresh too. Now I need to figure out where I am... so where am I?
