The Red Dragon and the Black Cat
Wrathmongous the Humongous spun through the sky a league above the ground. Craning a sinuous neck, he admired how the iridescent scales on his back gleamed like rubies in the sunlight. The blazing solar rays refueled his reserves of Manna, the ephemeral elemental force which powered all Magic in the world. The great dragon turned his massive head to the impossibly distant flaming orb and stared directly into the cosmic furnace, absorbing all he could get, distracted only by the nagging ache in his side.

Kosyrir's Tree of Secrets
Swift, roving eyes first fell onto the strange creature sitting in the middle of the woods. Droplets of icy rain fell from errant leaves as sweltering steam rose up from the Earth—fragrant signals of the first signs of spring. Slits of honey-brown glowed furiously against Kosyryr’s olive-green skin, giant, feathery wings soared high-above. His face weathered with deep scaly crevices that told a story of all the things he had seen in his many hundreds of years, but today Kosyryr spotted something new.

Lost and Found
When Leonora Tucker got an idea in her little curl-covered head, she acted on it. At almost four years old, she was extraordinarily bright, fearless, impetuous—sometimes reckless—and somehow impervious to harm—much to her parents’ consternation and relief. This morning, at an hour that was barely past dawn, Leonora decided that she needed flowers. It was her sister Sabrina’s birthday, and she had to give her a present. So, Leo walked to the edge of the compound where she and her family lived. Her mother and the other adults kept a pretty garden where she knew there were flowers. Her little legs trotted along quickly; the adventure was fun, the getting caught, not so much, she knew from experience, so she hurried. She reached the garden and was disappointed with the options. A colorful butterfly floated over her head, and she giggled as it flitted by her outstretched hand. She watched it head toward the forbidden place. The forest. But she also saw the pretty wildflowers on the very edge of the woods. She could pick those for Sabrina. They were much nicer than what was in the garden. No one would ever know. She looked around before she squeezed through the fence railings under the chicken wire and skipped toward the wildflowers.

In the Eyes of a Dragon
Unconditional love, as she’d been conditioned to believe all her life, never felt like this before. Her heart was exploding with a grief from which she just wanted to be free. Screaming her heartache into the sky, the dragon tried to make sense of it all: the loss of her whelp, the possibility of being disgraced in the eyes of her clan for her irresponsibility, and finding the tiny lost boy, whom she carried home tenderly before flying off again, trying to rid herself of the heart-wrenching pain of loss. She also felt compelled to discover the source of the billowing, dark clouds rising just beyond the forest, the spectacle that had nearly distracted her from seeing the needy child. The sight meeting her reddened eyes crushed her weary soul.

To Sleep In A Sea Of Galaxies
Damn, I am laying here in outer space with the clouds, and the stars laying beneath me like a huge soft king size deluxe bed with the galaxy above me as my starry sky. My bed is so close to the constellations it's ridiculous, and hilarious. I am laying here eating a break as if I am in the joint while smoking heavy reefer chiefer the loudest of the loud. I'm Just loving smoking my loud laying on a bed of stars + clouds in outer space. Wow.

Solemate
I am Alcandal’Thanazzar – or just Candle, to the mortals who would later come to know me. I was born a prince, the eldest son and heir of the Fourth Co-Queen of Zoalbar, kingdom of the Drakkins. My hematite scales bear the iridescent sheen of nobility, fragmenting the light into radiant bursts of opalescent ripples of color as the sun or moon reflects off at different angles. This is the start of my wondrous tale, one of a bond between two princes from opposite worlds and of the events destiny held in store for us both.

The Draconic Restoration
Kitala stood at the top of the cliff face, looking out over a forest of giant, squat trees. Her view of them was shaky at best, as it was all she could do to keep her legs from collapsing. A staccato beat was made by her knees knocking together. She barely registered this sound, nor the sound of the vulturas flying and shrieking overhead. The long, winged serpents knew what her presence here meant.
