From the Vaults of Earth
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. The sharp hues and bright lights that bled from the porthole window pierced her eyes. She squeezed her lids together at the watering pain. She was used to seeing without her eyes. The earth guided and enveloped her in other ways, but in that cavernous room she felt very little of that sense’s embrace. Fear had her raising her hands in an effort to shield her eyes. She needed to see what she could not understand.

The Wanderer
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. Adriana lied on her back, her long, dark hair sprawling across the cold, steel floor. Like all 246 people in B302, she was dressed in a navy jumpsuit. The seventeen-year-old gazed out the window. She'd been coming to this room for a decade now, and yet the sights beyond it still enchanted her. She gave a smirk, recalling the days before she'd learned the truth--when she had known this place as only the Forbidden Room.

The Tower Window
Once upon a time, there was a small kingdom called Ravaria, ruled over by a king and queen. They were good rulers, who governed their subjects with a kind hand, and defended them from their more sizable neighbors to the West with their sharp wits and meager forces. But as seasons passed, they were growing older, and still had no heir to one day rule Ravaria in their place. When another Spring had come and gone and they still had no son or daughter, the king and queen sent a hawk into the forest, a plea for help tied to its leg.
