Jane is a 36 year old freelance artist. She has friends, she’s close to her family. Her art sells very well. From the outside looking in, Jane has a great life. What she’s been hiding all of these years is a very sad heart. When it comes to relationships she has dealt with unrequited love, leading to countless heartbreaks. She wonders if she’ll always be alone. She finds herself smiling in the daytime as bright as the sun, at night her tears are like heavy rain. Every night before bed she asks if she’ll ever have her fairytale love.

Greg has been a hopeless romantic ever since he was a young boy. Now 40, he often thinks back on all the times he’s been rejected because he “wasn’t their type” or “he was only seen as a friend.” He never gave up on his quest to be the knight in shining armor for one lucky woman. He would get advice from family and friends. They would all tell him, to just put himself out there and the right woman would come along. At 40, he’s asking himself if she even exist? “She just has to!” He would tell himself the moment he starts doubting himself. Greg owns about 25 restaurants around the world, and he dreams of traveling with the love of his life.

Jane is traveling to New York City to sell one of her paintings, and to meet up with a client about painting a mural in their business. She likes to meet with all her clients in quaint little coffee shops. Somehow she finds them to be inspiring for her work. Greg is headed to New York City for his grand opening of his new restaurant. Something is pulling him to this cute little coffee shop, something about it looks romantic to him. He decides to stop in have a cup of coffee, enjoy the atmosphere for a bit, and head to his new restaurant.

Jane is meeting with her client and she finds him very attractive. She starts subtly flirting with her client. Twirling her hair, smiling bigger than ever. The client begans to mention his wife, and how much they love her work. She quickly pulls herself together, and continues the meeting as professional as possible. She was extremely embarrassed, but she couldn’t let her client see that. They finish the meeting, and the handsome gentleman leaves. She decides to finish her coffee and stay for awhile. She looks out of the window as she says to herself, “I wish there were someone out there for me.” She continues to enjoy her coffee.

Greg walks into the coffee shop and he’s staring at this woman who’s glowing in his eyes. He watches her every movement as if it is in slow motion. She looks up at him and she smiles so beautifully. He orders his coffee and he walks up to her. He asks if he could sit with her. She nods her head trying to keep her cool. He sits across from her excited to express himself to her. He smiles and calmly says, “I couldn’t help but notice, your radiance, your beauty, your smile is incredible, your movements, are gentle, and your eyes have a hint of sadness in them. You are art and romance all in one. Quite frankly, I think you might be the love of my life.”

Jane is certainly impressed and taken back by everything he said. She never had anyone pay attention to her enough to accurately read her. She takes a deep breath and she replies, “Maybe I am the love of your life, how can we know for sure?” When they locked eyes they both could feel this intense connection that was hard to explain. Jane burst into laughter and she says, “Well, what happens next?” Greg invites her over to accompany him to his restaurant’s grand opening. She gracefully accepts.

They head over to the restaurant and there’s hundreds of people outside eager and anticipating the opening. Jane had no idea this guy had so many supporters. Greg makes a beautiful speech, and towards the end he suggests that everyone check out artwork from his beautiful friend. People in the crowd are yelling out, “how can we find your pieces?” Jane gives out her website and her social media information. She’s so impressed, she’s trying to figure out how did he know she was an artist and he doesn’t even know her name? Her curiosity about him is getting stronger.

Greg cuts the ribbon, takes a few pictures, and he heads inside. He takes her hand and as they head into the back kitchen, she says, “I’m Jane, I never gave you my name and I never got yours.” He gently gazed into eyes and said “Greg.” He puts an apron on and he puts the beautiful chocolate cake on the counter. He cuts two slices. It’s his mother’s recipe and having this cake at every restaurant is special to him. It makes him feel closer to his mother. Jane bites into it, and she says, “I think I’m in love.” Greg goes, “with me or the cake?” From that day forward, they spent every day together.

Greg is the perfect gentleman, the man of her dreams. They take trips all over the world together, in romantic bliss. Jane has never been happier in her life. This is the first man she’s ever been with who has cared for her soul so deeply. He gives his whole heart to her, protecting her and allowing her to be as free as possible to be the best version of herself. Even when she doesn’t feel like being her best, he is still very gentle with her. They become what fairytales are made of. Greg finally feels he has met his perfect match. He feels complete. Nothing can possibly go wrong.

One day, Greg decides to surprise Jane with a romantic picnic. He told her he was going to check on one of his restaurants nearby and instead he’s getting supplies to get up for this picnic. Greg gets hit in a car accident by a drunk driver. Greg slips into a coma. When Jane heard the news she was devastated. She stayed by his side everyday in the hospital. Every day she would tell him stories about how they met, and all the wonderful adventures they’ve gone on. 6 months had gone by and Greg was still under. One very early morning Greg wakes up and Jane burst into tears. He told her he felt like he was in a dream reliving all the moments since they’ve met. He told her not a moment went by where she wasn’t with him. Jane told him that for the past 6 months she had been right next to him.

The hospital staff rejoiced as Greg is recovering back to normal. When he was released from the hospital, Jane surprised him with a beautiful picnic. He felt so loved and adored by Jane. She pulls out two slices of his chocolate cake and she feeds it to him. He says, “I think I’m in love.” Jane replies, “with me or the cake?” Greg proposes to her right there on the spot. He cries and confessed that she taught him the meaning of love, and how happy he was he never gave up on love. Jane confessed the day they met at the coffee shop she wished to herself that there would be someone out there for her, and he appeared. She said yes, and they lived happy and in love for the rest of their days.
