Mou Xian, Wuyi Mountain, a place where two tribes, the Wu and the Yi, live. The Wu tribe lives in seven quarters of the city's high rock area. They go up to the mountains to plant bamboo and flowers and fruits, and go down to the river to fight turtles and fish for snails and shrimps. To protect the fruits of their labor, the Wu people also built a stone wall on Chenggaoyan, casting swords to train their soldiers. The Yi people live in earthen kilns in front of the mountains, they often hold bows and arrows, and spears, chase birds and good people in the mountains, living by hunting and slash-and-burn farming.

One day, the chief of the Yi tribe led his men to chase a fierce tiger and came to the vicinity of Chenggaoyan, which they saw towering over them, with steep walls on all sides and a stream in front and behind. Very much like a stone city, the city with flowers and grasses, fruit bent branches, really a piece of beautiful scenery, the more you look at the more you like the chief of the Yi tribe, they want to take this place. After returning, he led the tribe into the mountains to cut bamboo, and bamboo ladders, prepared for 91 days, then attacked the Wu tribe!

On that day, there was only a waning moon in the sky, and the Yi people went under the high rocks of the city and quietly set up}. Bamboo ladders, climbing up the stone city, and the Wu people fight. The Wu people resisted bravely, shouting and killing, not giving up a step, and the Yi people fought indistinguishably.

At this time, the sky suddenly flashed a golden light, and listened to a "Mile Grip" crowing sound, only to see an old man with white hair riding a big golden chicken with colorful feathers, coming to the city's high rock. The white-haired old man jumped off the golden chicken and walked between the Wu and Yi people and said, "Stop! Brothers of the two tribes, do not fight; to live together in harmony, develop the blue water Danshan!"

The two tribesmen were very surprised to see the golden rooster suddenly descending from the sky and the old man jumping down. The patriarch asked, "May I know your name?"

The old man shook his head full of white hair, thumbing his long silver beard, and said, "I am a great immortal in the sky, specializing in the wind on the mountain and the water, I learned that you are fighting and came here to persuade."

Hearing that the immortals had come down to make peace, the Wu people hastily put away their swords, and the Yi people hastily put down their bows and spears.

The old man with white hair said, "From today, I will give this golden rooster to you two tribesmen. The Wu and Yi should love each other for generations, and happily cultivate the fields and plant tea, and life will be good!"

Wu and Yi clan chiefs each led their people cheered, a team, a row of kneeling on the ground to thank the old man from the hair, vowed to heaven: the two tribesmen to be like brothers, one heart and one mind, and never fight again! The old man smilingly waved his hand, the golden chicken um spread colorful wings, flying into the plant seven quilts of rock on the golden chicken house, every day before sunrise to the people to report. In a burst of white light, the old man also took the wind and rode the clouds to the nine heavens, leaving harmony and joy on earth forever.

From then on, the Wu and Yi clans became a close family. To consolidate this friendship, they called the place where the two tribes live "Wuyi Mountain", and also honored the kind old man with white hair as "Wuyi Jun".
