Chocolate is my new favorite

A beautiful, confident mature woman entered the 4 star restaurant with her companion right behind her. That was the best vantage point for him. Her shiny white blond hair hung in beachy waves half way down her backside in a vee drawing emphasis to her magnificent backside. Her hips swayed enticingly, forcing her slinky dress to slide softly with each step. His gaze traveled down to the impossibly high heels she was walking in so confidently. The sight of this woman that was finally out on a date with him tonight took his breath away. The maitre’ d stepped down the three steps to the main floor of the dining room and held his hand out for this goddess to balance on as she too took the stairs to the main level. She released his hand as soon as she was on level ground and could continue her confident stride to their table. The maitre’ d led them deeper into the room and pulled out a chair for her to seat herself. All around the room music was playing softly but was upbeat. She had a slight smile on her lips as she listened to the lyrics while he was also seated.

You're riding right beside me in my car

Looking like you wouldn't tell me no

I'm thinking about taking it too far

I don't think that we can make it home

They had discussed stopping in to have a quick dessert to top off an evening of flirting, discussion of several world events and getting to know each other better. Their first interactions were strictly business but her sharp wit and sense of humor hit him hard. He couldn't remember a time in his business conduct that he had allowed himself to relax and even laugh with any colleague much less a female. The waiter appeared at his elbow and asked for their order. With a gentle turn of his wrist he indicated the waiter should ask his companion first. The waiter turned his attention to the lovely woman and asked what she would like to drink. “A glass of sweet red, please and a slice of your world famous chocolate cake.” There was a slight smile on her berry colored lips and a twinkle in her eye that made him smile also.

“And you, sir, will you be having the same?”

“No, just a Jack on the rocks.”

“Yes, sir. I’ll be right back.”

His entire attention was now riveted on his companion. She was really enjoying the music and hummed along softly while sensuously rolling her shoulders ever so slightly in tune to the beat. This drew his eyes from her shoulders to the slight throb of her pulse in her neck. All he could think of was putting his mouth on that spot and sucking on her heartbeat. His once comfortable slacks were quickly becoming less comfortable. His eyes sliced around the room and he saw every man not on social security had their eyes on his date. Not too overtly. Not enough to upset their own companions but enough to make him very proud to be accompanying this woman in front of him. The waiter was prompt in bringing their order to the table and setting their items before them.

A hotel room or a parking lot

'Cause I got it bad and I can't stop

The feeling that I gotta have you right now

How 'bout a midnight, midnight mess around

This vision before him lifted her fork from the table and cut into her slice of chocolate cake. Very deftly she lifted it to her lips. On the way from the plate to her lips it was as if all noise stopped. He felt like they were in a bubble where time was standing still except for her fork on the way to that delectable mouth. His eyes were glued to that silver fork’s journey. As it reached her lips her mouth opened just enough to slide that bit of guilty confection into her mouth and closed those lips around that fork. Slowly, ever so slowly she withdrew the fork and returned it to her plate.

I know which road, which road to take you down

So let your hair and your dress fall to the ground

How 'bout a midnight, midnight mess around

It was as if a balloon popped and all noises rushed back in to fill the vacuum. He watched as she slightly tilted her head back as she enjoyed that one small bite in her mouth, rolling her tongue around in it before swallowing and opening her eyes. He had never been so jealous of a bite of cake, ever. “Did you know they put a small pinch of cayenne pepper in the cocoa dusted over the top and add just the right crumble of Hawaiian black salt to add to the umami? It really brings out the richness of the chocolate.” As he watched there was a slight bloom across her cheeks as the pepper entered her system.

She knew the effect she was having on him and was reveling in it. This is how two mature adults flirted. No juvenile sniping or jealousy. Neither one was attempting to be the smartest one in the room. Her laser gaze was aware of the moisture gathering on his upper lip. Lifting her wine glass to her lips she took a slow sip letting the libation slip down her throat with minimal swallowing. Setting the glass down she spied a single drop of moisture from behind his temple start to roll down the side of his face. He reached up with his napkin to dab at this as he raised his other hand with his drink to his own parched lips. The animal attraction was so thick between them they knew everyone must know what was transpiring at their little intimate table.

Baby, keep an eye out for the cops

'Cause we're taking it anything but slow

A little dirty but it's hot

You seem to like it when I lose control

A slight lift of his eyebrow and a nod of his head at her plate was followed by the slightest nod of her head agreeing to his next move. A quick move of his hand at the waiter and he was at their table in a flash. “We would like that bottle of wine and this chocolate cake to go. And there will be a $200 tip in it for you if you bring the receipt back with a key card to one of your suites.” He handed his black American Express to the waiter.

Without expressing anything amiss, the waiter took the cake and went to take care of everything. She was smiling at him again, giving him her complete attention. No other man existed in that room but him at this point for her. There was just a hint of silver in his thick dark hair. His hazel eyes were about to set her on fire from across the table. The super charged attraction was almost overwhelming and they were both acknowledging it with their glances and slight body changes moving incrementally closer like steel and a magnet. She was finding it hard to spot any red flags in his treatment towards her.

Girl, you know it ain't safe to drive

'Cause I can't seem to keep my eyes

Off anything and everything you do

The waiter was quick to return with their to-go bag and the receipt to be signed and it was accompanied by the key card as requested. He was quick to sign the tab. Putting the card back in his wallet, he extracted two crisp $100 bills and put them in the waiter’s hand with a grateful smile. A slight nod of his head was the waiter’s acknowledgement.

Both he and his lady rose to leave the restaurant. She had her hand on his arm to reassure him she was indeed leaving with him. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of her as he led her to the lobby of the hotel. The song lyrics were still playing as he was thinking how chocolate cake was now his favorite dessert.

How 'bout a midnight, midnight mess around

I know which road, which road to take you down

Just let your hair and your dress fall to the ground

How 'bout a midnight, midnight mess around
