Winter, Conception season #13

Entry #1

It starts as a wave of foreboding, one that echoes through each generations ears and soul and brings forth a call that ignites the fight or flight in all three sections of societies.

Understand that the Norlas' are the bases for them all, and as soon as either a Purit or a Wict is conceived, the Norla's have their own along the way as does a being of the opposing standing. Balance. Simple, quick, mother nature rules all, jist delivered.

Please do keep in mind as well that Purits' and Wicts' both are perfectly capable of maintaining on their own, but the call to arms that awakens them, calls forth a new order to be created in order to create a balance again. Lotta balance goes outta whack over just one being being born, but hey, no judgements. Takes a village to raise a child, take multiple realms to raise 3 new god-esq beings. Logical, dont give up yet.

Happens as the world we share determines it to be necessary. The Elders have a better idea of the exact timelines and when exactly to expect what, but even that entails watching the forrests and creatures that reside and appear every so often.

This season it seems as though both sides have managed to concieve; an ominous warning the elders say, but that seems to be purely based on the fact that it has not happened in many a millenia, and while the other Norlas' have seemed to go into a frenzy, due to the lack of conception on their end. Mind you, the mystical formula for the balance of all the realms requires one Norla per Purit or Wict born, but seeing how as both sides have concieved, the Norla's now must concieve two instead of the usual one. A task that may not seem quite so daunting, if you were able to get a healthy child out of any of the inbred clans, and god forbid any of the clans decide to make nice with one another to pop a kid out during a time of crisis, but we'll leave the I told you so's for a later time.

The amount of panic leaking into the common realms is leaving even the most powerful of 'Mancers cautious, yet no rational solutions have been sought after. I mean its not too late for the Norla folk to concieve... I would think that that would be the main focus of our clan at this point. But what do I know?

And let us say the Norlas' do not concieve at all. This too is solvable, but through archaic means that neither the Purities nor Wicts' have any interest in partaking in. Viva la progress!

So here we are, verge of war with both sides encroaching on the realm of the Norla's. The realm which for eons has been the stakeholder in the safety of all the realms. Can't have Purits' or Wicts' without the Norlas' and vice versa; but hey, lets just corner the ones who hold the balance of all in their lands. What wrong could come from that?

Pinching the bridge of his nose he closed the cover of the leather bound notebook that had been passed along through the hands of all head males that led their Nectomancer clan.

"So, ramblings and news safely jotted down, and archived." Exhaling as though all the air in the room had been stored in his lungs, Itani turned in his chair.

"Now to just figure out how exactly we are going to barracade ourselves in here so that we won't have to deal with any unwelcomed visitors." He shifted his gaze from the floor to the walls and windows around him.

His home wasn't terribly small, nothing that anyone would be ashamed of mind you, but definitely not anything to entice any female to come and potentially help him save the realms.

He giggled to himself. The thought of any elder coming to him and requesting he buckle down and mate for the sake of the realm? Preposterous, and yet still something to consider, and not take lightly. He hummmed to himself as he rose from the chair and began organizing a plan to keep his home safe and locked down. The Journal flapped its pages behind him, as its covers reopened and it floated over to his side.

"Sir, I understand the state of unrest that hangs in the air is definitely affecting us all differently..."

The book fluttered itself back onto its pedestal as it sighed and shifted shape. Unfolding and forming into a small, sexless, and well bookish, homunculous.

"But you should be taking your entries a tad more seriously my sir, your family for generations have kept very strict records of the nectomancers doings, they have never really been ones to worry about the balance of the realms..."

Cyx nervously wrung their hands while Itani continued with his preperations.

"Sir please, you should be listening at least a bit. If the realms are to fall, as you are implying they might be, then the Nectomancers have every reason to go back into hiding!"

Itani slammed his hand on the floor.

"Hiding in the swamp lands again while the Norla's talk peace with two rivaling realms that have both managed to create life while they themselves are currently unable to kick out even one; and this time around they are required to create two?"

Itani huffed, and pushed himself off the floor. His eyes locked onto the pedastal where Cyx stood, but somehow managed to scan the entire room all in the same moment.

"I'm sorry Cyx, but hiding is not quite an option this time around. We're buckling down and barracading ourselves in right where we are, and I'd like to see any of the Elders come in and tell us differently."

Itani finally settled his gaze onto Cyx, allowing the pressure in the room to subside. Cyx returned an idle stare in reply.

"Point made sir, but while we are preparing for the end, may we please note the guest that is currently is residing in the bathroom, may also have an opinion on the ending of the realm."

Cyxs' head gestured towards the door as their small frame shifted into smoke and fluttering pages and then back into the journal.
