Chapter One

Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. It was a spectacle that the residents of the small town of Alderdom had grown accustomed to over the years. They would gather on their balconies, looking up at the night sky, mesmerized by the ethereal display. No one knew why the clouds turned purple at midnight, or why they swirled and twirled around the darkening sky. But that was the magic of it all. For most residents it was a comforting routine.

However, for one young girl named Luna, the midnight dance between the clouds and the sky held a deeper significance. Luna was a dreamer, always lost in her thoughts and imagination. She had always felt a strange connection to the purple clouds, like they were trying to tell her something important.

One night, as Luna watched the dance of the clouds, she noticed something different. Amidst the swirling purple, she saw a small figure dancing along with the clouds. It was a tiny fairy, with delicate wings that shimmered in the moonlight. Luna rubbed her eyes, thinking she must be imagining things. But when she opened them again, the fairy was still there, dancing with the clouds as if it was the most natural thing in the world. She realized that it wasn't just the residents who engage in a routine with the strange purple clouds.

Luna's heart raced with excitement. She had read about fairies in her storybooks, but she never thought they could be real. She knew she had to follow the fairy and find out more about its world. Luna found it strange that no one else in the town could see the magical creature or feel the tugging in their very soul to investigate the clouds like she did. As soon as the dance ended and the clouds disappeared into the night, Luna grabbed a coat and snuck outside, making sure not to wake her parents that she knew would disapprove. She searched the town, looking for any sign of the fairy.

As Luna wandered the streets, she noticed that the town had taken on a different appearance. The houses were taller, the trees greener, and the stars brighter. She felt as if she was walking through a dream. And then, just as she was about to give up her search, she saw a faint light in the distance beckoning her onward towards the tree line.

Luna ran towards the light, her heart pounding with excitement. As she got closer, she saw that it was coming from a small clearing in the woods. In the center of the clearing was the fairy, surrounded by a group of other tiny creatures. Luna pressed on towards the creatures under a pale moonlight without fear.

Dawn came to Alderdom, closely followed by the shouts of Luna's parents running through the streets searching frantically for their missing daughter. The other townsfolk joined the search frantically calling out and searching for any sign of the missing girl.

Little did the residents of Alderdom know. Luna wasn't dead or lost. She, like many others before her, were taken by an eerie being. Luna stumbled unknowingly into a world more sinister and more dangerous than she could ever have imagined.

He followed the girl into the forest making sure to stay out of sight. She seem transfixed on the light that he made leading her deeper and deeper into the forest. She came across the creatures that he told to make camp there and wait for his signal.

When she got close enough to realize something was off it was already to late, she had fallen into his trap that had taken so many others. The girl turned to run, only to spot him and have all the color drain from her very soul.
