Samantha had always been a strong and independent woman. She grew up in a rough neighborhood and learned how to defend herself at a young age. As she had run around with the kids on her street, figures had always been in the shadows. Mob families weren't just scary stories you told your kids to get them home when the lights turned off. The world of organized crime was alluring and she dreamed of becoming a part of it one day.

It had started simply just keeping the other kids in check. She was quickly noticed by Gene, the enforcer for the Lombardi family. He started taking Samantha under his wing. After years of working her way up the ranks, Samantha took over Gene’s role as enforcer. She was known for her ruthless tactics and her unwavering loyalty to the Lombardi’s. Feared by her enemies and respected by her colleagues.

Despite the misgivings of Gene and herself, she fell in love. John was from the other side of town. He knew nothing of growing up as Samantha had. He had been sheltered and went to a private school. Their paths had crossed at a coffee shop. Samantha had been following a man who owed money to the Lombardi’s. Finding out his routine. John had been infront of her online when he turned with his coffee and hit her. Spilling it down the front of her suit. He had insisted on buying her coffee and they had sat talking in the shop.

They had been married for ten years now. John was a kind and gentle man, the complete opposite of Samantha. He worked as a teacher and spent his days shaping the minds of young children. Samantha had never told him she was involved with the mob. When he had asked about her work, she said she was a secretary at the Marino law firm. The firm who worked for the Lombardi’s.

One day, John came home from work to find Samantha sitting at their kitchen table, cleaning her gun. There was a look in her eyes that John had never seen before. It was a mixture of anger, fear, and sadness.

"Samantha , what's going on?" John asked, his heart racing.

"I need to tell you something, John. Something that I should have told you a long time ago," Samantha said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm an enforcer for the mob."

John felt like the world was spinning out of control. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His wife was a killer, a ruthless enforcer for the mob. How had he not seen it? She had been so kind and caring. How could she be killing people? What was he going to do? Was she going to kill him? He couldn’t keep up with the questions running through his head. All he could say was.

"Samantha , how could you do this? How could you be involved with the mob?" John asked, tears streaming down his face.

"I have been evolved in the mob my whole life, I grew up much different than you. " Samantha explained.

John was torn between his love for Samantha and his morality. He had always believed in doing the right thing, in standing up for what was just and fair. But now, he was faced with the reality that his wife was a killer, a criminal, someone who had no regard for the law or human life.

Samantha hadn’t killed him, he was still unsure why she had told him now. John struggled to come to terms with Samantha 's confession. His mind was warring between who had had known all these years and her alter ego. He had trouble seeing her as a killer. She had never even killed a fly in front of him. He considered leaving Samantha and going to the police. He couldn't bring himself to do it. He loved her too much, and he knew that she loved him too.

One night, Samantha came home with a black eye and a cut lip. She told John that she had gotten into a fight with some of her colleagues. They were angry with her for not doing what they had asked her to do. John felt a surge of protectiveness for his wife, and he realized that he loved her more than anything in the world. The Lombardi’s had wanted her to kill him that night. She had refused and said she would take the consequences of telling him.

From that moment on, John began to help Samantha from behind the scenes. He knew that what she was doing was illegal, but he couldn't stand the thought of her getting hurt or killed. Worse losing her. He discovered that he had a natural talent for this kind of work, and he enjoyed the rush of adrenaline that came with it. For a while bosses were happy.

Over time, the Lombardi’s started to question Samantha’s loyalty. Even though John became more and more involved in Samantha 's criminal activities.

They gave Samantha the ultimatum once again. She was to kill John or they would kill them both. John had made Samantha the happiest she had ever been in her life. He even had excepted her when he had found out she was an enforcer. She wouldn’t lose him, not for anyone. No one would take him away from her. She would burn down the world to keep him safe. She would kill every last one of them, to save him. That is exactly what she was going to do. They would be sorry they had tried to take what she loved!
