A Fool's Relic
The city of Ausk was once the shining capital of the planet Juth. The buildings that formed the inner cluster of the city were large, rigged domes. Inside each of the domes were essential work and living spaces for the citizens that called this place home. One dome would be responsible for handling the power management that each of the other domes relied upon, while the other domes handled things such as produce, water treatment and distribution, etc. In total there were five domes. Four of the domes circled around the largest dome that sat in the center of the city. This dome, dubbed the "Conclave of Judgement," was where the planets government, military, and judicial administrations resided. It was the first dome to be destroyed during the Nortabian Invasion.

A Hope for a Future
The sun rises yet again. The sight never ceases to amaze. There was an old saying, from before, that you don't know what you have until it's gone. That saying was true since the impact winter of the asteroid that hit earth blocked out the sun for a few years. However, the saying was even more true for the father who was watching it alone.

The Panics
Alaya hesitantly looked down at her trembling, blood-soaked hands and cried with no reservation. Hot tears collected on the tip of her dimpled chin, that hadn’t stopped quivering, ever since she heard glass shattering in the kitchen. The salted river of emotions overwhelming her, dripped into the sticky crimson evidence, making a swirl of watered down red in her palms. She froze in time and stared, hypnotized by the patterns settling into her palm lines.

Time Goes By
Tick. Tick. Tick. Esmeralda Jones stopped and listened. Where was the ticking coming from? Nothing mechanical moved anymore, not since long before she took her first breath of the Earth’s dusty air. The world was quiet now. The wind and rustling leaves were the loudest things on most days. Her grandma told her it used to always be noisy, technology and motors gave society a constant background hum. When everything mechanical let out its last wheeze, people became dumbfounded by the sound of nothingness.

Music is our Resistance
The rich leather cracked against B-321’s skin once again, cutting deeper into their flesh. Deep gashes spanned the length of their back; their hands were bound to the top of the wooden stake. No oil. No Fuel. No Society.
Everyone thought that fossil fuels were endless. The Earth had enough of it right? There were pipelines all over the world; tapping into oil wells and transporting it to be processed into plastics, feedstocks, asphalt, roads, and fuel. Coal from coal mines creating electric energy across the world to fuel power plants. Natural gas for cooking, heating, and electricity in homes; and to create thermal output. You would be surprised on how much our world relied on fossil fuels as a whole. Unfortunately, it would run out. And we wouldn't be prepared soon enough for it.
