Insatiable

Early evening at the Bar Paradiso, after work. Adrian knew his luck was in when the blond bombshell approached him. He recognized her from the office.

“You’re Kara, aren’t you?” She smiled, nodding. Within half an hour they were making love in a quiet hotel nearby.

Later that evening, Brandon sat in rapt conversation with a stunning woman he just met at the Paradiso.

“I know a great hotel for a quiet drink nearby,” said Kara.

As Chuck sipped a late-night Manhattan, on a stool at the bar Paradiso, a woman sat next to him.

“Hi, my name is Kara.”

This drabble (a story in exactly 100 words) was inspired by a case study I read some years ago in a book about different aspects of psychopathy. The anonymised subject was a married woman whose husband was initially oblivious to her infidelity. She boasted to their friends that she had on one occasion had sex with two different men within an hour, neither of them being aware of the other. I hope this story also challenges some assumptions about women.
