It was what he always said he wanted to do, just leave. Nothing but his truck, the clothes on his back, a laptop, and the romantic feeling of not knowing where he will sleep at night. It just paid off too.

Snow is a magical thing, and for this Florida boy who has never been out of the state, it is a dream come true. Boy? He is 25, but deep down he doesn't feel like an adult. Part of him is still a kid, and that part is pulling the truck over right now.

He nearly leaves the Toyota in drive as he runs toward the snow covered field on the side of the road. With a thud he face plants into the white stuff and shivers. His heart races at the excitement of such a new experience, but his body soon goes numb from the cold.

He has never felt so much and so little at the same time.

After a few strange minutes of being one with the snow he rolls over to make a snow angel. Because one is legally obligated to make a snow angel the first time they encounter snow. He giggles, then sighs as he looks up at the grey sky. It is so different here.

Sitting up he looks at his truck, still facing the direction he was going. He looks back to where he came from and she comes to mind, then to where his is headed.

"I need a dog."
