Bio
My very first story crafting was an imaginary game that me and my two younger brothers would play when I was 12. My love of storytelling manifested itself quickly. Today I am a husband, father, and business owner.

Dear Vocal 2024
Dear Vocal, I am not sure how meta it is to address the writing website that I am currently writing an article for, but it feels right, at least to me. Because, as I enter into your 200th challenge(Congratulations by the way!!) I have to say something to you. Thank you. Honestly and truly, thank you.

My First Story was a NightmareTop Story - September 2023
My first story came from a strange place and I hope I am not alone in this. It wasn't from a book, although, in part, one of the greatest science fiction novelists, had his hand in it. The idea didn't come from a movie or video game either. It all started in 18 years ago in the back seat of my mom's red Dodge Durango.

Sitting In The Next Room
Sitting in the next room... That dress, I am pretty sure that dress caused a few car accidents. It was perfect, the whole night was perfect. Although the party was impromptu, this had been planned for years. I just had to wait for the right moment.

dense wood, rocks, and seashells
Frayed rope holding chunks of dense wood, rocks, and seashells knock together. The wind reminds me of her… My teeth tear through flesh and my mind skips a beat... I offer her some… Fire fills the cabin, my mind fills with panic. I run for the door but there he is, blocking me. I shout with smoke in my lungs masquerading as oxygen.

Married MachinaRunner-Up in Unexpected Uncovering Challenge
For some it's an undergarment stuffed between the couch cushions, others its a cigarette pack hidden in a glove compartment. Nathan Campbell wouldn't be so lucky. For the undergarment would be a sign of a cheater, and the cigarette pack is a giveaway of someone's secret vice. Nate found something stranger, something that caused his blood to run cold...

Three Super Powers And How You Can Get Them
Stronger Bones Photo Credit CBR.com In the 2007 comic book Wolverine #48, Logan faces off against a mutant named Nitro. As most of you know, Logan AKA Wolverine has the power of regeneration as well as an adamantium coated skeleton(the metal coated skeleton is not a mutation, it's a long story.) On the other hand, Nitro has the ability to explode and rebuild himself, if the picture hasn't given it away... things don't initially go well for Wolverine. The only part of Logan that survives Nitro's blast is his metal covered skeleton.

The Scaleless
Is that the glow of another village burning? The end of so many lives, for what? Greed? Religion? Or the most atrocious, because of the tones of their skin. I will never understand these horrible beasts. The scaleless. What cruel god made them? What cruel god could have left them to their own devices? They deserve to be abandoned, maybe that is what their god did. Who would blame them? I sure wouldn't.

The Alien Element In Your Home
Cake Seasons In my house we have two "cake seasons" each year. The first one is from March 15th, my son's birthday and to about a week after my birthday on April 3rd. The second cake season is from my wife's birthday on July 30th and ends about a week after my daughter's birthday on August 15th. After every birthday we keep the cake and it usually lasts long enough that it feels almost like one continuous "cake season" by the time we eat it all.
