“All onboard vehicle passengers are now required to shut off their engines. The ferry will be leaving Wood’s Hole in exactly ten minutes. The duration of our voyage to Oak Bluffs is just under an hour, and the weather is pristine. Thank you for choosing to sail with us today.”
“Who’s ready for their first ferry ride?” Dad exclaimed.
I had no idea what a ferry ride was, but I could tell from the tone of dad's voice, and mom's gigantic smile, that they were both excited, which made me excited — causing my red, fluffy tail to wag uncontrollably.
