“There’s two million dollars missing,” Julisia announced, her voice quivering.

“Well, look under the mattress and get it,” TSL said.

“I’m serious. We have over two million dollars that is unaccounted for. We could lose the .org. This is real!”

“I’m serious, too. Look under the mattress in the guest room and put in the code.”

“I don’t know that code, though.”

“It’s the first day we met. That date with no spaces.”

“Goddamnit. If I had known that, we could have paid off this goddamn house!”

After walking downstairs with the check for two million dollars, Julisia stood and said she was finished.

“Did you make sure the safe was locked?”

“I just shut it and put the mattress over the springbox.”

“Good.”

“Crisis averted.”

The couple donned their tactical gear and headed out on the town to a gala. The same gala they would have been shunned from attending had they not been able to account for that cool two mill’. He dressed in a tuxedo and she a white satin ballroom gown. Once they exited the Lightray, they both looked at one another and dusted off each others’ shoulders.

Then, they walked into the gala. It was like a flock of geese descended upon them. Both paparazzi and other journalists wanted to know TSL and his financial wizard of a girlfriend, Julisia.

“Why are you two here? Shouldn’t you be in Tokyo? Shouldn’t you be in Paris? Milan?”

“We like to keep it local for now,” TSL responded.

“And you, Miss Julisia. You look stunning.”

“Thank you.”

“What is it like keeping the registers ringing with merch and running your nonprofit organization?”

“I like to call it a for profit organization. It’s great. I do the number, he raps. It’s a perfect pair.”

Then when the photogs and presspeople had drifted away, a tide of friends in the industry rolled in to greet them.

“What’s up, Top? You know you owe me a feature! No, I’m playing. How are you, Ju Ju?” Freddie “Cleaver” Donnen mentioned.

“I’m well, Freddie, thanks,” Julisia replied.

“You look wondrous,” Muse Zahara remarked looking at Julisia’s dress as the latter spun.

“Thank you both. If you would just excuse us,” TSL commented. They walked about ten paces away to the corner of the room where it was mainly vacated.

“We’ve got one.”

“Right now?!” She shrieked quietly, mockingly.

“Please don’t tell me you weren’t ready for this. She lifted up her dress and showed a small pistol strapped to her thigh.

“Okay. I see you. Anyway, there’s a disturbance. It’s in Southbridge. Some vehicles are camped out in front of a residential neighborhood. From what the satellite shows, there’s about twenty people altogether coming out of these cars. There are people sleeping in those houses. We’ve gotta stop them before they advance on that neighborhood.”

The couple made their way to the exit.

“I’ve heard about arriving fashionably late but you two look like you’re leaving fashionably early.”

“We had another meeting that required our assistance to give our regards to the host and hostess,” Julisia said.

They got in the Lightray and switched into their tactical gear. She was strapped just in case someone wanted to get cute. Otherwise, their weapon was the phone. They used it to contact the police.

“It’s us,” that’s all they had to say and they relayed the satellite imagery to the police station. The triangulated the position of the various vehicles and decided to not send squad cars until there was a muzzle flash.

“Why do you have to wait for that?” TSL asked.

“We don’t prevent crimes, we help to enforce the laws.”
