Still he powered through the meetings.

“What the hell was that?” he asked Julisia.

“That was our future unfolding before our eyes,” she replied.

They walked out of the Wilmington office building right into the Lightray. They laid back and stretched their legs.

“I think we should just tell everyone where we get the money,” Julisia mentioned.

“Maybe one day, but not in the foreseeable future.”

She kissed her teeth. “I know you have a career but we’re in deep with the game. We’re out here making this cash and we’re taking the chances with the organization. People might not even like that.”

“Stop it. The hardest gang member is training his four year old daughter how to hold an AK-47.”

“We’re doing eight figures with our teams around the country and world. I know you want to drill. That’s understood. But it’s time for us to unveil how we’re getting the money.”

“No. Not at all. I’m having none of it. I finally made a million off of music. That audience is completely averse to any form of snitching or informants. I would be eaten alive.”

Julisia exhaled. It was an exasperated, almost frustrated sigh. She felt like she couldn’t get TSL to see how much more money they would get, not to mention the countless lives that would be saved after that.

“If we just refuse to allow anyone to mess with us, beef up security, move out of Delaware….”

“I’m not leaving Delaware. There’s too much riding in this state. The drill scene is thorough and heavy. It remains to be a cornerstone to my own life. I am Delaware. I own its cool feel and its business acumen. I’m not about to upset those things.” He looked at the screen of the Lightray and switched on the massage feature.

Julisia sat up straight as TSL laid back.

“We have to address this.”

“No we don’t.”

“lf we tell people who we are and what we’re about, we’ll have the chance to become citizens of the state, then.”

“Yes, remember that we go undercover on our missions. That’s what keeps us together. That’s what makes the snitching work. We’re able to show we can be invested in something and reveal what we’re really doing. We’ll blow everything.”

“I know what you mean. I can see the cover thing. But maybe we can hire retired special forces guys and gals and take this thing to another level.”

TSL was a stone resting back in the rear of the Lightray.

“I hear you talking,” he said in a despondent tone.

“But you’re not listening. I want you to be on board with this. What we have to do is find a way to deliver our truth without compromising ourselves. In the case that we’re trying to continue with the snitching and the organization combined, we’ll have enough money to retire you. That’s all rappers want to do anyway.”

“I’m not all rappers. I know the business and the art. I enjoy both and I want to keep the snitching and the .org together.”

“And we can do that, then. Once we channel the money into the account, we’ll have the power to explore other options. We could bring in billionaires to help supply and invest in our ventures. We could still keep the gun safety for kids organization and keep snitching, too,” she said.
