In a hillside country, not far from the city lived a young family of four. Johnny and Maria were a match made for as they had little Sarah and her older brother Tom. Johnny and Maria were young parents and they liked the country. They could not afford shoes and their family wore sandals. The grass was gentle with little weeds. The flowers lasted almost till the end of fall and there was plenty of food to eat. The family made everything they wanted to eat and drink. This is the work and chores of their habitation. The weather in Dockinville, where the family lived, was fair with slightly heated summers and mild winters. Dockinville was a quiet place in the middle of the fields with huge trees and many species of flowers. It was what some might say was a retreat compared to other places.

Ever since he was married, Johnny stood in the field too long, working on tomorrow's chores. He wanted to make sure life would be easy for his family. He would work the plow all day and all night stopping only a few times to rest. He liked working in the field. He would say to himself, all this land is mine. All this beautiful forest, my family will own forever. See where all those animals come together and where all those birds and insects retreat that will be continual. He looks at the sky, all those stars looking at us and us looking at them will be forever. He would daydream about Tom and Sarah growing up too. I won't have to put you on my knee. I won't have to lay you down to sleep. I won't have to worry about you anymore. You will be safe and in love.

Maria was likewise, she would teach the children how to read and write. They often wonder where was their father and she would reassure them. Tom and Sarah learned fast as everything was a lesson. Maria taught them everything she known. She began to test them to see if they had character as they have grown. The more she was impressed with them, she held their achievements in her heart to tell Johnny in their midnight and morning discussions. If she was really happy then she would go straight in the field and tell him. Maria loved that Johnny trusted her with raising the children.

It happened in Dockinville that other neighbors came and with them came other issues. The left neighbors wanted to know the family's secrets. They thought the family must share what they learned about the land. Maria objected and gave only words of wisdom to the neighbors. It calmed them for a season and they watched the family every footstep they took outdoors. Johnny liked their curiosity and he would give them a riddle to solve and make them feel ashamed. He would say that the land is beautiful listen to it and enjoy it. Don't follow us, we are strangers too. The birds and the bees are keen, the owls and the wolves are warnings, and the bear and the rodents are intruders. The sun and stars will guide you and the land knows what you need. If you run with the music of nature then you will never grow tired. The right neighbors liked the advice but the left neighbors did not understand. This happened for years, people moving in and out of Dockinville while Johnny and Maria's family stood.

After a while, the city of Mocklin sought spies to the Town of Dockinville to explore it since they received funds for expansion. These spies lived with the left neighbors of Johnny and Maria's family. The spies tried to question the left neighbors but none of them could tell them about anything, they wanted to hear. The right neighbors sounded the alarm to Johnny and Maria, who were older now. Johnny and Maria welcomed the spies. They exclaimed, no need to be strangers to the ways of the country and west. We mean no harm. We are gentle farmers. The land is friendly and prosperous to everyone who needs a home. Come and you will see. So the spies of Mocklin came to their house and participated in the chores to learn their secrets. They stood in Johnny and Maria's home so long, they forgot to report back to the city of Mocklin.

And in time, Mocklin sought officials to Dockinville asking about the spies. Everyone knew they were over at Johnny and Maria's house. It happened at the same time, Tom and Sarah arrived back home. Mocklin's officials said that they have brought rights to the Town of Dockinville and demand taxes. Johnny objected and said that he is the owner of the land. He explained that he was on the land since the beginning before their interest and their fraudulent papers from a scandalous government will not mean anything. He is willing to gather the residents and fight this battle in court because he had the deed to the place. Mocklin's officials tried to used mob tactics on Dockinville's residents however they killed a spy. The spy's last words were "I was dead already in your hands. Mr. Johnny revived me with his loving wife. This land does not belong to you. You betrayed its purpose only using it for your greed and so that is what your land did to you poison as you have poison. My death is in the officials' hands. I choose to be placed in Dockinville." Mocklin's officials were forced out of Dockinville that day and the residents of Dockinville officiated the town promising that it will be a home for everyone to respecting the land and its creatures. And they won the court case against Mocklin's officials forcing them to resign and be tried for murder.

And Dockinville built schools, hospitals, and public places for its residents based on the money that the court awarded them. Dockinville became bigger than Mocklin. Johnny and Maria were remembered as its longest-serving residents as co-founders. And their children Tom and Sarah raised their families in Dockinville after they explored the world. Tom named his only daughter Maria and Sarah named her only son Johnny. Their parents' homes after their death were made into the Town of Dockinville's Townhall.
