During any festive occasion, it is advantageous to host a party with the intention of attracting wealthy individuals. Although organizing a party to secure lucrative contracts from the connections of your significant other may seem calculating, one can simply inform them cheerfully that it is a Christmas or New Year celebration, and guests will eagerly attend. Amanda has been a widow for nearly a decade, but she hasn't been bothered by it as she greatly benefited from her husband's demise. He was a foreigner who had a ten-year contract in this country. Before his contract ended, Amanda met and married him, giving birth to three beautiful mixed-race children. Despite his advanced age and desire to leave at the end of his tenure, Amanda convinced him to extend his contract for the sake of their children. Utilizing her intelligence and charm, she persuaded her husband not only to purchase a house when his company was selling assets but also to acquire a small flat in England and another house in a West African country.

Unfortunately, her husband passed away before completing the extended contract and was taken back to his home country for burial. In the meantime, Amanda became a wealthy widow. Unattached and enjoying her newfound freedom, she embarked on living the rest of her life to the fullest. Despite not yet reaching the age of 40, she possessed both attractiveness and a refined sophistication that concealed her past hustling days.

Soon, she entered into a passionate relationship with a wealthy engineer who had worked with various governments for many years. Their affair was intense, leaving Vincent , the enamored fool, unsure of how to express his gratitude for all the "love" Amanda showered upon him. Amanda , happily residing in her luxurious house in Ikoyi, couldn't be enticed by a modest flat in a dilapidated neighborhood. As a result, Vincent started awarding contracts to her. However, Amanda had her sights set on even greater opportunities, particularly in the oil industry.

This is how she ended up organizing a party for her lover and his friends who had been kind to him over the years. She made sure to invite potential contacts of her own as well. She chose a neutral venue where catering could be easily managed, and in case anyone got too intoxicated, they could either vomit or retreat to one of the rooms with a comfortable place to rest.

Vincent was delighted with the event. He dressed in an expensive yet casual silk shirt paired with high-quality denim, exuding an aura enhanced by one of those luxurious colognes that men often indulge in nowadays. He arrived with a few friends and two female cousins who were aware of Amanda's intentions. However, as the night progressed, Vincent grew uneasy about the guests Amanda had invited. They appeared rough and lacked refinement, resembling more of spare-parts dealers than the business associates Amanda claimed them to be. Despite their expensive attire, they exuded a sense of seediness and dubiousness.

"Those are drug dealers!" whispered a female guest, her nose wrinkling in disgust. Vincent 's friends no longer displayed the same level of enthusiasm they had earlier. Everyone became cautious. Then, one of the rough individuals, the shadiest of the group, announced that certain drink brands had run out and he would accompany Amanda to her house to get more. After 30 minutes passed without their return, Vincent ordered suya. Two hours later, many of the guests left, frustrated and relieved.

Finally, Amanda stumbled in. All her charm and sweetness seemed to have vanished. She appeared as if she had just exchanged blows with Tyson for a few seconds. Some guests gasped, while others smirked.

Incidents like this were bound to occur when such men infiltrated respectable parties. "What happened?" Vincent hurriedly approached, alarmed.

According to reports, "She didn't want to tell me what was happening, so I had to extract the information from her," mumbled the shady individual who had accompanied her to fetch the drinks. "I mean, when I entered, she didn't introduce me as her husband. Instead, she claimed you were her business partner who was merely assisting her with her business." Vincent 's jaw almost dropped in amazement, but his years of experience kicked in.

"Of course, I am just a business partner. Instead of roughing her up like this, you should have asked me directly," he stated.

"Sorry," the individual replied, shifting uncomfortably. "Do you still want me to go and bring the drinks?"

"No, no, no," Vincent quickly interjected. "We were just about to leave when you walked in. My friends and I have another party to attend. You and your wife can stay to entertain your remaining friends."

Before Vincent left, his competitor managed to inform him that he was the one who had recently purchased a fancy car for Amanda and had plans to financially support her in various other ways, as he had been doing for years. "She doesn't have to engage in all this business she's doing," he muttered. "I have money, but she said she's bored just sitting at home."

Vincent required no further persuasion to leave the party promptly, fearing it might turn into a crime scene. He felt somewhat humiliated as he exited with his friends, most of whom he had introduced Amanda to, proudly boasting about his cleverness in acquiring such a remarkable partner. "Some women can be quite a nightmare," a significantly subdued Vincent admitted a few weeks later. "Amanda appeared loving and seemingly decent during our affair. I had known her for over two years and had stayed at her house on several occasions. It just shows how fortunate I was. What if an angry lover, posing as her husband, had discovered me sleeping there and decided to shoot me!"

Naturally, that incident marked the end of my involvement with Amanda. Whenever she called, and I recognized her voice, I simply turned off my phone. Women like her would lead you to ruin without any hesitation."
