On a rather peculiar and hot day, a snow blanket plummeted onto the land instead of creating a heatwave. The nearby bodies of water including a big pond were frozen within seconds. A group of teenagers cheered in joy as a girl with long white hair trembled nervously. Her knees knocking each other repeatedly. “Nice work, Demetria!” One of her friends said gleefully before slapping her on the back in gratitude.

A timid Demetria continued to tremble as she stared at the ice skates that dangled around her friends’ necks in fear. “I don’t think we should go skating!” She suddenly exclaimed as they looked at her perplexed. “What if my brother Asher finds out?” She asked fiddling with her fingers. “You got nothing to worry about,” one of the girls of her circle of friends said, “what Asher doesn’t know won’t hurt him!” She then patted Demetria on the shoulder making her shyly blush.

“Besides, didn’t you say he could careless about the imbalance of the seasons?” One of the other boys of the small group asked. “That’s true, still I don’t think it’s a good idea to skate!” Demetria remarked nervously. Her friends exchanged looks with each other. “Is there something you’re not telling us, Demi?” The leader of the group asked with his eyebrow raised in suspicion. Demetria mumbled out her confession.

“What was that?” Her friends asked in unison. Demetria repeated her statement still mumbling her embarrassing secret. They continued to keep their puzzlement on their faces. “What?” They asked in unison again. “I don’t know how to skate, okay?!” She suddenly exclaimed before covering her mouth as her cheeks turned rosy pink. Her friends looked at each other before her female friend, Fria, walked up to her.

“I couldn’t skate until my brother Flynt taught me how.” Fria then confessed. “Do you think that he could teach me how to skate too?” Demetria asked sheepishly. “Well, sure he would love to!” Fria remarked with a smile. Demetria fiddled with her hair shyly as she blushed thinking about Flynt and how she hoped that the lesson would play out. “He’s hotter than the summer my brother brings.” She said smitten aloud.

The boys of the circle of friends snickered before Fria glared at them thus shutting them up. “Oh don’t act like you boys never had that one hot tutor in your past.” She coldly commented. The snickers went away in a matter of seconds. Fria then hugged her best friend before heading off to call her brother to tutor Demetria. The latter remained smitten at the thought of Flynt’s warm arms.

It took half a hour for Flynt to arrive with his skates and an extra pair of ice skates for Demetria to wear during the lesson. “Alright clear the pond, private lesson is going to begin!” Fria called out embarrassing Demetria a smidge. “Please stop, you’re more embarrassing than my dad at the winter ball.” She confessed blushing mortified.

Fria quickly apologized and led her to Flynt who was putting on his skates. He looked over and smiled at his student. “Hello Demetria, ready for our lesson?” He asked her holding out the extra pair of skates. Blinded by her massive crush on him, Demetria took the skates and put them on. She then walked with him to the frozen pond like a baby deer trying to walk for the first time. Her head was in the clouds until she returned to Earth when she got closer to the frozen pond. When Flynt turned to ask Demetria if she was ready for lesson number one, he saw the ice skates and a trail of departing footprints in her place of the snow.
