Mari was the first born of a set of triplets in a field that had different shades of green, above her growing body was some shade from the harsh sunlight. She couldn’t see yet, but she had a hunch that she was being slightly protected. She felt some water and she began to grow her legs slowly. Pretty soon, she gained enough strength to grow some more.

By then, she had a body and feet, very stubby arms, but no head with hair just yet. She could still feel that warmth some days. Other days she felt gentle breezes or heavy rain falls. She then wondered what she wanted to do with her life, what to leave when her time on Earth was over.

Maybe she could stay alive until winter, but that wasn’t much of an interesting goal seeing how her ancestors could easily survive in the winter with little to no issues. Maybe she could write a biography when she grew her head and hair, but then she realized she wouldn’t have any eyes or a brain.

She then decided to think more about her life goal as she grew up. She soon grew her head and hair that was as golden as the sun. She had a hunch that her neighbor Tom Ato and his brothers were getting a bit red from the harsh sun and quite plump. She was glad that she didn’t have ears to hear Tom and his six brothers get beheaded; green hair and all.

It didn’t take long for Mari to mourn. She slightly drooped her head down with bits of her hair falling off her head. She even dropped something that she didn’t even notice she had during her depression. Whatever it was, she didn’t hear nor see what it was. She silently hoped that whatever it was, it was something worthy to make her ancestors proud of her.

The days that followed, the sun’s light seemed to be becoming harsher as the days went by. She became parched and hoped it would rain soon. She felt her arms fall off her very thin body and didn’t even wince in pain. She continued to hang her hairless head down in sorrow even though it has been days since Tom and his brothers’ deaths.

Pretty soon, she died due to lack of water, and her dreams of having some kind of legacy or goal accomplishment were gone like her neighbors’ lives. That’s when her adoptive mother came with a hose to feed her siblings who silently mourned over her death and lack of water in their bodies. After receiving their drink, they slightly perked up, but not by much.

Sometime in July, the siblings of Mari were completely perked up in silent surprise. Their adoptive mother came to give them their drink until she dropped the hose in surprise and headed back in her trailer to fetch her camera like a dog fetching its favorite toy. As the siblings danced with help of the summer breeze, their adoptive mother returned with her camera and took pictures of what the deceased Mari left behind.

In her place was definitely something to behold, she left behind thousands of children to fill up the triangular home she left where they danced in the sunlight with their possible aunts who swayed in joy. If Mari was still alive and had a mouth, she’d smile brighter than the sun at the mark she left behind. It brought joy to her adoptive mother and the rest of her family; including her beautiful children that share her beauty that shines brighter than pure gold.

I write like I breathe. I am autistic, but I don’t let that defy me, I love writing. From something scary as a lonely girl unleashing a fiend thinking it was a spell to give her a friend to something funny as a guy being kissed by a duck!
