EXT. THE BAR KYRA WORKS AT - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

KYRA

I quit!

KYRA throws her towel onto the kitchen floor.

KAYLA

It had been Kyra's third week in a row working doubles and her manager was still scheduling them for her after her requesting she take a break for a bit. It felt selfish, but she couldn't take it anymore. She needed out of the establishment.

MANAGER

It's the middle of the night. Can't you finish the shift?

KYRA

Screw you.

MANAGER

You'll never be content.

KYRA stomps out of the building.

KAYLA

Kyra made her way out onto the street, leaving behind the old restaurant and nightclub she had worked at, and it was now a past job on a resume.

KYRA turns her car on.

BLACK EYED PEAS STARTS PLAYING ON THE RADIO.

KYRA

I'll take that as a good sign.

KYRA starts driving off.

KAYLA

As Kyra drove she had ideas

running through her head.

KYRA (IN HER HEAD)

I'm free now and can do whatever

I want. I can hike any mountain I

want. I can party as long as I

want. I can take in any new

experience that comes my way.

It's now 9 pm and I have to do

something. Hmmm....

KYRA ponders over the options for a second.

KYRA (IN HER HEAD)

I had wanted to hike for months,

and the snow was starting to melt

with the start of spring. I could

camp out overnight and go hiking

in the morning.

KAYLA

She had her spikes in the back

seat and decided to make her way

to the highway.

INT. IN KYRAS CAR - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

KAYLA

It didn't take Kyra long to come

to the realization that it wasn't

the best idea the head up to go

hiking at that time of night. It

would work better if she had

waited later and gone for a

sunrise hike.

KYRA

Oh no. It's only 11 p.m. And I have so much time until the sun comes up. Should I stop and take a rest? There's a rest stop right up here.

KYRA pulls into the rest area. She pulls into a parking spot and puts her car in park.

KYRA

Okay. I'll wait here for at least

an hour and then maybe I'll start

heading up towards the mountains.

KAYLA

As Kyra waited at the stop she

wasn't the only car there though.

Kyra was surrounded by multiple

other cars but there was one car

in particular that had there own

form of extravaganza going on.

INT. INSIDE CHRIS'S CAR - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

JORDEN

There she is again.

CHRIS

Why does she have to be such a dumb ass?

DANTE

Who?

JORDEN points towards KYRAS car.

DANTE

That's the girl you've been having me look into.

DEVIN

Inside the light blue car just a bit behind Kyras red Subaru sat three men. Each were at least five years apart, the oldest being Chris, who was in his thirties. The other two men were Jorden and Dante. Jorden was the youngest and currently enrolled in the military, while Dante was in his late twenties and currently homeless instead.

CHRIS

Should we follow her tonight?

DANTE

No.

JORDEN

Well what's she doing out here anyways? This wasn't even part of the plan we had.

The three of them sat and watched as KYRA looked on her phone for where to go hiking. Once she'd settled on one she turned her car back on.

JORDEN

She's leaving!

CHRIS turns his car on.

DANTE

What are you doing?

CHRIS

I guess I'm in the mood for a hike.

INT. THE LIVING ROOM - EARLY MORNING

JACK is asleep on the couch, ARMANI sits in a chair, and CHASE is on the ground, eating out of a bowl of popcorn. It comes to the end of the first season of Perception on the television screen. CHASE looks over at JACK.

CHASE

Is he asleep?

ARMANI looks at JACK too.

ARMANI

Yup.

CHASE rolls his eyes.

CHASE

I can't believe the way that ended.

ARMANI

I know. Tells you a lot about psychology. He's not pro taking meds, just like you too.

CHASE nods his head.

ARMANI

Did you see how it changed when he did though?

CHASE

I know, it's just... Maybe right now isn't the best time. I have thought about it before though. Back when it was really bad.

ARMANI

Chase, can I ask you something personal?

CHASE

Yeah.

ARMANI

Have you ever entered full psychosis?

CHASE

Umm... I'm not sure.

CHASE scratches his head while he continues thinking over the question.

ARMANI

If you did, what would you want us to do?

CHASE

I haven't really given it much thought.

ARMANI

Well if you do come up with a plan let me know. You never know when this stuff could happen. Especially with how much you've been hallucinating lately.

CHASE starts to grow annoyed with ARMANI and tenses up. ARMANI takes notice.

ARMANI

I'm just looking out for you dude.

CHASE

(Mumbling.)

Yeah. Thanks.

ARMANI pats CHASE on the shoulder. JACK starts rolling around until he suddenly goes off the side of the couch.

JACK

Shit.

ARMANI

Great show, huh?

JACK sits up, the blanket still covering the lower part of his body.

JACK

Exactly fucking that. Great damn ass show. So now having watched it do you think it reminds you of your own abilities due to mental illness, Chasey?

CHASE

Not exactly. I don't see people. I hear voices and see visions.

JACK

So you've never seen the people you've heard?

CHASE

I mean... Kind of.

JACK

See!

CHASE

(Defensive.)

No! Never mind. I don't see them. I only hear them.

JACK

Okay. Whatever you say douchebag.

ARMANI looks at CHASE, knowing he's hiding something. ARMANI claps his hands together.

ARMANI

So you guys want to go back to trying to prove they really are fucking bitchy idiots or what?

JACK

With Chase's powers, we'll solve everything.

EXT. INSIDE KYRAS CAR - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

KYRA is in her car driving on a dark highway.

KAYLA

Kyra made a poor decision when she decided to go out to hike

that night. She was enjoying the

quietness on the highway, having

only been passed by one light

blue car. The exact light blue

car that had been parked at the

rest stop though. The exact blue

car that held Chris, Jorden, and

Dante inside it. It was late into

the night yet so early into the

morning, coming close to 12:30

a.m. and Kyra's gas mileage now read two even lines, signaling less than fifteen miles left in my tank.

KYRA (IN HER HEAD)

Oh nuts. I need to stop for some gas. Let me check to see the closest gas station.

KYRA got off the closest exit and turned left towards the little signs of light in the small dim-lit town. There was a Mobile and a Cumberland Farms right across from one another, having simply a little hill in between the two. Over at Mobile, there was a red Jeep with a younger man getting his gas. At Cumberland Farms, there was the shiny light blue car, sitting alone. The numbers on the Cumberland Farms read a whole twenty cense less.

KYRA

Might as well.

KYRA drove her car over towards the Cumberland Farms, where Chris's light blue car was parked. The blue car was sitting there, completely turned off. KYRA gets out of her Subaru and closes the door. She walks around the side and opens up her gas tank. As KYRA opened her gas tank, something from the light blue car caught her attention.

KYRA

What the?

She sees the shadows of people moving in the backseat while the back windows have fog within the middle. A shorter man jumps from the backseat to the front, his shiny smile showing through the unfogged spots on the windows. The shadow of another human face stares at her from the backseat. She looked towards the front seat, and dark blue-rimmed eyes with expanded pupils stared back at her, furiously. Suddenly there comes the sound of someone opening a door. KYRA jumps at it and rushes back to the drivers side of her car.

KYRA

Yeah, a couple extra in change doesn't matter. I'm going to the other gas station.

KYRA gets back in her car and starts driving off to the other gas station. Once she is there she puts her car in park and goes back to getting her gas. KYRA looked back over at the light blue car but there was now no one in sight outside of it.

KYRA

Whatever.

KYRA tries to avoid looking at the vehicle but gives in a few times as she waits for her tank to fill up. Once she has her gas, she jumps back into her Subaru and sets her GPS back to the mountains. She turns on her car, and the light blue car across the hill from her turned on theirs too.

KYRA

Huh?

KYRA stares at the light blue car.

KAYLA

She waited for the car to leave, but they didn't move an inch. Kyra couldn't tell if she was overreacting, but she started to pray to the mountains surrounding her. She started to grow fearful within herself as she thought back to the man in the front seat that was staring back at her, almost as if he somehow seemed familiar but in a way that she wish not to remember.

Suddenly out of no where comes a police car. KYRA jumps in surprise.

KYRA

Oh my goodness.

THE OFFICER jumps in response to KYRA, almost as if not expecting to see someone out at this time of night. KYRA looks towards the light blue car over at Cumberland Farms intensely. THE OFFICER eyes followed her toward the vehicle. THE OFFICER quickly zooms to the right going straight up the hill and stoping behind the light blue car.

KAYLA

KYRA made the second biggest mistakes of that night again and left the second the officer got out of his car, thinking it was now a safe time to leave.

KYRA starts down the hill and zooms away. She goes back on the interstate in the opposite direction of the mountains and back towards the cities. Her speed increases from 70 to 80 and then 90.

KAYLA

She thought she was safe and at an end with the humans inside that light blue car that night once the lights of the tall building greeted her when, in all actuality, it was only the beginning.

INT. IN CHRIS'S CAR - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

JORDEN

Holy shit that's a cop!

DANTE looks out the window at the cop car.

DANTE

A cop?! I can't have a cop on me tonight guys! Why'd you have to follow her? You should have just stayed in the car and left it at that since she'd ran into us already.

CHRIS

Shut the fuck up you two! She caught you two having sex. That's not what matters. What matters is that she saw us in general.

JORDEN

I already told you she that doesn't seem like she remembers us.

DANTE looks out the back window of the light blue car.

DANTE

The cops getting out of the car.

CHRIS

Both of you shut the fuck up! I'll do all the talking.

THE OFFICER walks up to the side of the door.

OFFICER

May I see your license and registration please, sir?

CHRIS eyes THE OFFICER. THE OFFICER looks a bit nervous.

DEVIN

Chris noticed how the officer seemed a bit nervous. Like as if he's typically one of the nice fellows. Chris had a handy when it came to cops, typically. He made sure to always be on their good sides to hide the career and hobbies he'd picked up.

CHRIS

(Cheerfully.)

Of course, officer.

JORDEN hands CHRIS the registration and CHRIS hands it with his license to the officer.

OFFICER

What are you three doing out here tonight?

OFFICER looks in the back seat and sees DANTE.

DEVIN

As the officer viewed Dante in the backseat, he thought over how lucky he was that the steam had now vanished from the car, so hopefully there'd be no suspicion from the officer.

CHRIS

We came out for gas, but I only have cash and the store is closed.

OFFICER

So why didn't you leave?

CHRIS'S eyes start to grow irritation.

CHRIS

Well... I was just looking up a new place we could stop at that would have a store open.

OFFICER

Well if you go back two exits there's one there for you, right off of it.

CHRIS

Thank you, sir.

CHRIS, JORDEN and DANTE each watch OFFICER walk back to his car. OFFICER closes the door to his vehicle. OFFICER turns on his car. CHRIS turns on his car too, puts it in drive and starts driving away from the gas station.

CHRIS

She's not getting away with this.

JORDEN

Now that's what I'm talking about.

INT. THE LIVING ROOM - DAY

CHASE sits on the ground going through his phone, looking up different open cases. He has a notebook beside him that he keeps jotting down the dates, people, and cause of death. A frantic knock comes at the door. CHASE slowly gets up and heads to the door. Behind it is HARPER looking distressed. CHASE sees that HARPER has a piece of paper in her hand. CHASE opens the door.

CHASE

Hey, Harper. What's going on?

HARPER

Chase! I just had a vision.

HARPER grabs hold of CHASES hand and walks inside. CHASE gets a shiver up his back as she does. CHASE admires HARPER for a second but then steps back into reality.

HARPER

Did you hear me?

CHASE

I'm sorry, what?

HARPER

I know who's driving the light blue car and kidnaps Kyra. It's this guy!

HARPER shows CHASE the paper. It has a sketch out on it of the man he saw walking the dirt road when CHASE, ARMANI and JACK went up for their hike, CHRIS.

CHASE

Chris?

HARPER looks at CHASE in amazement.

HARPER

You had the vision too?!

CHASE

Not exactly. It's like I just knew.

ELLYSE

Just say we helped you.

CHASE

The voices helped.

HARPER

That's wild. We've gotta do something though!

CHASE

We should wait for Armani and Jack to get back.

HARPER

Good idea!

HARPER takes a seat on the couch and CHASE sits down next to her.

HARPER

It's just been so crazy, Chase. I'm worried sick that we're gonna miss her and he's gonna get her before us.

CHASE

Do you know where that bar is? Maybe we could go and meet her in person again.

HARPER

No, but we could try to transport ourselves there.

CHASE looks at the clock.

CHASE

They're probably not going to be back for a while so I bet we'd have time to.

HARPER

Sweet!

HARPER grabs a little bag out of her pocket. She pulls out the stones and places them out in front of them.

HARPER

Let me say something before we go this time.

CHASE and HARPER both close their eyes.

HARPER

Maith thú. Maith thú. Sláinte chugat. Sláinte chugat. Mo sheacht mbeannacht ort. May you escape the gallows, avoid distress, and be as healthy as a trout.

CHASE suddenly feels a big breeze of air. CHASE opens his eyes and they're in an alleyway in the middle of the night. The lights above them flicker. CHASE and HARPER walks out of the alleyway and see the bar down the street from them. They walk towards it and enter the building. KYRA is behind the bar.

HARPER

Kyra!

KYRA looks over and sees HARPER and CHASE. She smiles big.

KYRA

Hey, Harper!

HARPER

Kyra you need to be careful!

KYRA

What are you talking about?

HARPER

There's this man that you shouldn't trust. It's this man!

HARPER shows KYRA the drawing she did of the CHRIS. KYRA takes hold of the paper and looks at it in concern.

KYRA

That is him.

HARPER

You need to stay away from him Kyra. He's a danger to yourself and others.

The ground starts shaking and the lights begin to flicker.

CHASE

Oh no.

WICKED ONES BY DOROTHY STARTS PLAYING

Suddenly CHASE and HARPER are transported into a different dimension. The lights flicker on and off in front of their faces. CHASE and HARPER look to the corner and see ARMANI, JACK, and LIA watching them.

LIA

You two alright?

JACK laughs at them and flicks the lights on and off one last time.

CHASE

Quit the shit guys. We were dealing with something important.

LIA

What's that?

LIA points to the drawing HARPER has on the floor in front of them.

HARPER

That's the guy we think is the murderer and going to go after a woman we know.

ARMANI

Wait, isn't that the guy we saw out on that dirt road after our hike?

JACK

Yeah, he was out walking alone.

CHASE

You guys noticed him too?

HARPER grabs hold of CHASES arm and CHASES face goes pink.

HARPER

Wait! Is that where his cabin is?

ARMANI

It might be.

JACK

Wait how much information do you have on this guy?

CHASE and HARPER look at each other.

CHASE

It's gonna be a long story buddies.

ARMANI

Throw it as us.

ARMANI, LIA, and JACK each sit down next to HARPER and CHASE on the ground. HARPER and CHASE tell them everything and as they do ARMANI, LIA, and JACK each look at them in both amazement and confusion.

LIA

So you don't know where the cabin is, but you know what the people look like?

HARPER

And their names!

CHASE

Yeah, it's Chris and..?

CHASE looks over at HARPER for help.

HARPER

Jorden and Dante.

ARMANI

I can't believe we're going after a triple threat.

HARPER

I don't know if it's completely true but Dante seems more like a hacker.

ARMANI

But neither of you have seen them murder anybody?

CHASE

I only saw them throw Kyras body into a hole in their basement.

ARMANI

The basement to the cabin that we're looking for?

CHASE nods his head at ARMANI.

JACK

Holy shits are we not in for a trip with going after these guys or what?

LIA

What? No, Jack! We need to tell the police.

CHASE laughs.

CHASE

Yeah, like that'll work.

JACK

Wait so is he changing up how he kills his victims? Cause there's still a lot dead due to gunshot wounds and drownings.

ARMANI

The drownings are the most terrifying. There's an endless amount of those ones.

CHASE

We're not exactly sure.

JACK

Well how about we figure that out first. Is there a way for us to enter the dimension too?

HARPER

I'm not sure. I've never had anyone do it with me before until Chase. That is besides Elyse and Ashton, my coworker.

CHASE goes still.

ELLYSE

Keep your mouth shut Chase!

AHSTON

Oh, be kind darling.

CHASE

Umm.. Yeah. Let's look into it more.

ARMANI

You okay, Chase?

CHASE

Yeah, I just agree. It would be smarter to have more information first. Harper and I can work on trying to talk to Kyra so she's safe.

JACK pats CHASE on the shoulder.

JACK

Don't worry, bud. We'll help you too.

LIA

Yeah we will. Now, lets get working!

CHASE smiles over at HARPER. They each get out their phones and laptop and start searching while writing down each information onto pieces on paper. It doesn't take long until HARPER has an answer.

HARPER

Got him!

LIA

Who?

HARPER

Dante was arrested in Colorado about a year ago.

Everybody hovers around HARPER and her phone.

ARMANI

Which one is Dante again?

CHASE

The hacker.

HARPER

Oh no.

CHASE

What is it?

HARPER

Oh shit. I just remembered my shift starts soon. Plus I have a meeting with Elyse and Ashton before it. I've gotta go guys but I'll message Chase the information I found.

HARPER gets up and puts her stones back in her pocket. She heads straight for the door.

HARPER

I'll see you guys soon!

EVERYBODY

See ya!

ARMANI picks up the piece of paper on the ground.

ARMANI

She left the sketch.

ARMANI hands the sketch to CHASE.

CHASE

We're gonna get you, Killer Chris.

JACK

We're gonna get them all, and way before those fucking bitchy idiots.
