The END

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Yet there was a river of blackness enclosing the galaxy and its source was, not yet known to them.

They knew that it slowly trickled in from the heavens, beyond the farthest stars, from a place where time and space are one, where thought travels faster than the speed of light. They knew that as it glided effortlessly thru the galaxy, it transformed into a flowing stream. They knew that as the stream descended to the planet its’ mouth expanded ever wider becoming polluted with debris to continually fuel itself. They watched as it grew in volume, as it sped closer to its destination, as it swiftly inhaled all in its path, as it obliterated everything without mercy, and as it left nothing in its wake!

They watched as it sped to the earth in a thunderous wave of murkiness, penetrating it’s atmosphere, crashing across the pale, blue sky quickly engulfing all of its loveliness. Birds in flight were sucked into its chaos with the force of a cosmic vacuum as it steadily covered miles of barren terrain until it drew nearer to them. It hovered above the landscape moving along with a mind of its own. It was as though it was searching for something or … someone. They all saw it speeding, speeding closer, and closer to him, to the boy. It became obvious that it had come for him, and him alone, or so they thought.

Unaware he shuddered with the terror of his imminent mortality. The river of blackness swelled with consequence showing the boy all of it’s power, taunting him, showing him how hungry it was for him, how it would devour him, how it would eliminate him, how it would steal his very breath without hesitation.

The reflection of the horror seared in his eyes as they widened in panic. His heart leaped wildly from his chest! As he screamed “This can’t be the end of the world! … It just can’t!” but his voice was drowned out by the rivers silent fury and as instantly as that thought came and passed he darted away to escape the explosive crush.

The boy ran for his life, dodging jagged stones that jutted up through the terrain of the shadow covered landscape. His lungs starved for air while the rest of his body rejected his minds order to keep running. He spontaneously hurled himself forward diving head first behind one of the stones. His elbows crashed into the dirt as the rest of his body slid across the rubble. The searing sting of his scraped and bloodied elbows registered momentarily in his mind but he ignored it because the urgency to get away was far more powerful. Everything was happening so fast! He scrambled to his feet and squatted pressing his back up against an unwavering stone that protruded up thru the terracotta clay earth. He tried to hide himself but knew all too well that in a flash he would be swooped up by the oncoming torrent. He couldn’t think what to do. He felt completely and utterly alone…

They stood quietly in the distance unseen by the boy… The Lucid stood like sentinels. Six of them waited on a ledge painted in streaks of tortoise shell high above a gorge in their shimmering opalescent robes, becalmed and unafraid as they watched the wave of unending fluid fill the sky and speed towards them.

…Abandoned, in his darkest moment ever the boy was desperate for guidance but to his disappointment none came. To see the boy powerless and vulnerable would have made any ordinary on looker consumed with empathy and an urgent need to help but this was not the Lucid’s task. They were only there to observe without any judgment what so ever. To be impartial witnesses to the boys end because not only was it his end but to all it was the END! The END of the WORLD!

His eyebrows knitted together in consternation rejecting this certain finality. “It can’t end this way, it just can’t!!” the boy screamed beneath his breath regrettably aware that no one was there to hear him anyway, fretfully suspecting that he had been betrayed. The idea of them leaving him all alone sent his blood boiling with rage even though they always told him to remain calm in stressful situations, but this, this was beyond stress! This was unfathomable! his mind went mad, orbiting chaotically in all directions unable to seek any reasonable solution that would allow him to escape his imminent fate. Easy for them to say “They’re DEAD!” he retorted sarcastically as his chest sunk in defeat and his head shook from side to side in disbelief.

Embittered his mind reeled out of control as his chest tightened with dread. The troubling part was that he knew exactly what was happening to him. He had trained for this, but he always thought that they would be with him, that they would be guiding him, but they weren’t and that made it even more unbelievable. His beliefs were shattered in one crushing blow, he was going to die and he was going to be alone.

I don’t understand, this makes no sense, this shouldn’t be, where are you? God, God, the influx of a voice not completely his own entered his consciousness. He mourned for contact with someone or something other than himself.

Where are they? Why haven’t they come? Can’t they see? Oh God why have they left me? Where are you? Please don’t let this happen, I’m too young! Oh God, I’ll do anything…He pleaded momentarily, when another voice intimately aware of his discord interrupted, exploiting his weakness, My mind is cluttered with these endless thoughts that distract me from being me!

He gasped for more air but he was suffocating, it was as if he swallowed a massive invisible bubble, which made each exhalation that of a powerful contraction constricting his lungs in such a way that it was excruciatingly laborious to inhale a desperate breath of air. His chest heaved in spasms while his mind lashed out deliberately torturing him.

I’ve succumbed to the fog, the cloudiness and the darkness!

He remained physically inert, his full lips open without comfort and his head cocked to one side locked in a severe cramp. If you were looking at him you’d appreciate the sensation of a sharp cutting razor jetting down his right shoulder blade settling into his lower back disabling him completely.

Dread was the virus that coursed through his veins now, overthrowing any belief he had of a possible future. Tormented, his once supple muscles in his shoulders and arms were stiffened with the stream of unending thoughts that grotesquely transformed his posture to a spineless, pathetic cowering.

“Oh God,” he blurted choking for air. I’m ill, lost in an abyss, my heads throbbing from the endless stream of meaningless worries and fears. Where is my Clarity? God… My awareness of my true self? How can this be happening?

RUN! RUN! as fast as you can! His head turned quickly from side to side not recognizing the haunting, raspy whisper and sure that someone else was there with him. His heart was beating furiously. He didn’t realize it but the whisper slithered out coolly and calculatingly from the darkest depths of his soul.

There’s no avoiding it! It’s all about you, in and thru you! It’s every where you let it be!

Alarmed by this unknown intruder the boy shouted “What is?” while struggling to take another breath.

“It’s the one that scares you stiff unable to take your next breath, creating stress and anxiety that well in your chest as it tightens your throat with fear. It is elusive, you never know when or where it’ll appear but it’s always lurking, waiting to strike, raping you of your eternal essence! It comes to you in darkness disguised in your fears. It’s whomever, whatever you imagine it to be!”

The boy shivered with the thought of this unknown presence because at that moment he could sense that gnawing impending doom that chills you to the bone, making the hair on your neck stand straight on end. It was sooo with him! Closing in on him with each breathe he took. It was after his soul, he knew it! He knew it with unshakeable certainty!

Suddenly out of no where, the cankered face of a man leered before him revealing milky white eyes with electrical blood shot currents crackling violently from them with a ferocious power that extended beyond his scope of reality. He was pure evil. The boy blinked and blinked again.

The cankered faced man smirked coolly with satisfaction declaring in a haunting, raspy whisper “It’s been my pleasure.” before disappearing.

The boy felt defiled. It was like looking at his own face mirrored above him. He couldn’t shake the feeling that his soul had been taken away from him in that instant. He was shocked by this evil presence within his mind. He was stunned and sickened. He felt betrayed and tricked by God.. He screamed in his mind… asking God, and begging God to answer. What did he mean by that? It’s been my pleasure? What did he mean? What am I doing wrong? Why is this happening?

Weary and lifeless the boys head fell into his hands. The embers of the betrayal ignited a fury that scorched his heart leaving all that was once there barren and burned up, an empty crater, a sore that would never scab over. Nothing was left but a wound so vast only the flood of molten lava could alleviate the echoing ache that was left to smolder into infinity.

“Oh joy and peace for clarity!” he shouted gasping for air. “Oh! Give me joy and peace! Give me Clarity! My heart aches for joy and peace!” He stood up from behind the stone and faced the raging river of blackness and looked at it intensely. The words themselves seemed to spark something deep inside him, a remembering that burst into a volcanic explosion of what would be his last breath “I’m not leaving this place!” he shouted furiously with defiant conviction.

He felt an eruption of primal energy take over his body and mind. It came out grunting forcefully trying to take all it could for its own gratification. His intention was to suck the life from the river and everything else in his path but the river of blackness blasted furiously by seizing the boy, overthrowing him with all its’ mighty force. He struggled with all his might to hang onto the stone and resist the force of the icy river, but it was of no consequence. He attempted to swim along with the rapid current but the turbulence slammed him about crashing him up against the unseen debris that polluted the river. Whirling out of control in all directions his entire body throbbed in pain. He was being ripped apart.

The Lucid watched as he was whisked away by the tidal wave, spewn around insignificantly. He was completely helpless and they couldn’t help him even if they tried. They understood that it was his belief that created this and the Law saw to it that it would Be. The Lucid could not interfere, for the Law was the Law and the boy that they loved was always completely free to believe his own truth even if it meant the end for all that is seen and unseen. They knew that the boy had chosen this path like so many had chosen before him only this time, this time they stood watching in silent vigil, anticipating their inevitable End.

It was then that Death revealed itself and mocked them all, it spoke confidently with a smoky guttural whisper that seized ones soul. “When I begin to go all those in my way are fucked. I will not disappear before they suffer. My chest is tight with their fear. Remember it’s just you and me here. No one else, no one is going to help you. Not even GOD! If you freeze, you’re mine!”

That’s when the stark realization hit the Lucid, it occurred to them that all the power of the universe that was within the boy would never be gone! There would still be… the monster inside the vacuum of space inside ones soul, where nobody can hear the scream of ones own torment, not God and certainly, not the Lucid.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The boy who was, drifted away within his fear into the infinite river of blackness……………………
He could see nothing before him, not even the hand in front of his face. There was no light, no spectrum of color, no shades or hues, no reds or blues, only a cold, black, unheavenly tomb. It was as if he never existed. There was no past, present, or future. There was no place to come from and no place to go to. He was inside a river that banished him into a night of never was, is or ever will be. He was inside a vast void of nothingness, the vacuum of space itself… where the only one who could hear you scream was yourself.
He knew at that moment that he would never again see through the eyes of the boy he was. He had entered into the dark night of his soul were everything he believed to be true of himself was being stripped away. He had entered into hell alive and could feel himself faint away with the horror that the boy he knew himself to be was gone, gone within the river of blackness never to live, or be seen or heard of again.
He was dead! No longer of flesh and bone! Everything and everyone that he knew was all gone too. The world he so loved. Gone! Wiped out! Extinct, like so many before it!
The Lucid also slipped away but this time they knew it was Death that ruled, not the eternal Death that is promised to mankind of various faiths but the death that ceases to Be. The nonexistent in all dimensions…
Still clinging onto the faintest awareness of himself an overwhelming feeling of sorrow echoed within the lingering memory of the boy who was. To him the Universe, the Power that is seen and unseen was now and forever void...yet he heard waves that would come and go. A soft, subtle voice that wasn’t a voice.
Daylights gone,,,,,,,,,,,, how could this be possible?............ How could it end this way?............. It’s as if creation had never taken place……………. It all ended as it began...Without light.
Being alone in this tomb!.. It’s unbearable and now there seems to be no way to spark that eternal flame again……………... My Faith’s diminished,,,,,,,,,,,,,, leaving the very soul of all mankind…………………. I don’t understand?...................
Once again I’m lost in an abyss of nothingness,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, no thoughts or words fill my mind……………… I have no mind…
Fear brought me here and left me to wither away in this empty black tomb …………..but it’s not death I fear, its not this black tomb…
It’s separation … the loss of connection… the loss of expression…the loss of LOVE!
I’m alone, all alone!.....
An ache so vast was heard within and through out the emptiness that lye dormant for what seemed an eternity. An ache filled with insurmountable emotion, an emotion that could not be contained not even within the tomb of Death.
. … LOVE! The ache burned inside the memory of his heart…
No wonder I’m frozen. I’ve only limited myself. Raped myself of my eternal essence, robbed myself of my joy and happiness in life!
The world has to survive and some how I have to go back and save it!
How could I be so blind? It was always there, right before my very eyes but I ignored it. I refused to listen… To listen to that inner knowing that every man, woman and child has. It’s so simple!
It’s so simple! I just have to remember for myself! And what needs to be done, can be done with great ease if only I surrender and listen to my heart!
I have to change the destiny of mankind once and for all. I have to go back! I have to unite the powers for all to see that we are truly more than we appear and when we unite that power within us there is nothing to fear, there is no separation, there is only LOVE!
Heaven is ours…
A rumbling of thunder could be heard as the river of blackness moved in and thru and about him. The thunder was not part of the river he knew it was from something greater…something deep within…an inner knowing.
The silence of the night is illuminating my soul to greater heights. I’m expanding to the farthest depths of the universe, I’m aware even though I’m… unaware………………. I’m free from contemplation in this pure blackness, yet I’m moving all the time…………… My spirit is everywhere in search of expression……………I sore within radiance…… Freedom……. Freedom…. freeeeeeeedommm!
He could feel its vibration shake the memory of what he thought was his body. The thunder rumbled again, it made his emotions tremble with fearful anticipation that was exciting and terrifying all in the same.
I listen but what do I hear but my own mind, a mind that calls out in silence… Who am I?
He could feel that primal energy rise again, the evil that possessed his body… he could feel it becoming hungrier, more powerful, more alive. It was chaotic! It was destructive! It was creation!
The thunder rumbled again even louder and longer this time, it was as if life was being forced into the river itself. He was not completely familiar with the surge of energy but he surrendered to it anyway. The force was unlike any hurricane, tornado, or earth quake combined in its ferocity. It was ATOMIC! All he could feel was its enormous hungry rage filled desire.
This is the evil that consumed me!...Good lord, good lord… I’m whatever I imagine!
The euphoria in knowing, in remembering who he was ejaculated from the deepest cavity within his soul and the words “I AM!” were spoken claiming the universe as its own.
A great bolt of lightning flashed impregnating the river of blackness which no longer absorbed the darkness that it so drastically craved; NOW there was LIGHT!
Lit from the flames of hell! Rays of light shined flickering and dancing through the murkiness.
Exhilarating warmth tingled all over and at that moment he no longer felt the grip of the river of blackness around him. The only thing he knew for sure was that he was alive, incredibly alive! He once again felt the beating of his own heart and the pain searing throughout his body. This time however, he relished it. He could taste the newness of life coursing through his veins. His mind was completely aware of all that Is. He was complete, his heart and mind fully united no longer fearful. He was alive!
He felt taller, stronger. He was certain he was no longer a young boy, but instead a man. His age didn’t matter, he just knew he felt older, not the young wide-eyed innocent he was just so briefly and not old in the sense of being ancient and decrepit but instead a man with stark wisdom; a wisdom that cut through the ages with the razor sharpness of a skillfully crafted sword, relinquishing all the past mistakes of mankind. He rose up from the abyss his face chiseled by that of a master sculptor, handsome, strong, and wise. His sandy hair was long, wild and vibrant. His eyes were a steel blue that penetrated through your very core with gentleness that evoked the true nature of all that was human. Humbly he rose, flesh and bone into what he knew would be a New Age of Unveilment, an Age of Unification.
His eyes fell upon a crisp blue pool that reflected milk pouring from in between two snow capped mountains. The vista was far more beautiful than anything he had ever imagined. The colors exploded from every vantage point forming aura’s around each and every one of God’s creations. He was sure that the pool was a part of him but every time he attempted to move closer to the snow capped mountains they withdrew an equal distance away making it completely unattainable leaving the vista to remain forever outside his reach. The desire to be within his vision consumed him. His body shivered with a sense of uneasiness because the experience was so foreign. Never before had he seen something so beautiful within his grasp yet so illusive.
What if I traveled at the speed of light? Would I stand at the peak? No- it’s light, a soft subtle voice echoed… I have to be faster. Close your eyes his mind commanded, Imagine yourself there without any outside distraction. Simply be there.
Polar white snow was beneath his feet and a frosty haze emanated from his full lips. Flecks of golden light illumined around him. Weightless snowflakes danced among the light. Floating up and descending down the movement was constant. He stuck out his tongue to catch the cool snowy wetness. There was no taste just a refreshing zing that evaporated instantly.
He held out his hand to capture a closer look yet only received a quick glimpse of these tiny works of art before culminating to their inevitable transformation. He was amazed how short their existence was and watched intently as the fragile, delicate ice crystals would accrete one by one gently cradled in his hand. He noticed that they appeared to have no color, but did bestow a spectrum of light in each facet of their intricate beauty before melting forever away into the heat of his palm leaving behind droplets of water that glistened in the light…
The milky crush hushed the atmosphere as a delicate, melodic chime funneled within the outer curve of his ear as if a cool zephyr were penetrating a conch shell. The resonating unearthly sound vibrated in harmony with his heart beat. Rapture seized his heart as his eyes viewed the glorious dominion of which he reigned. Was it a dream he could not be sure because the magic of the moment was so pure.
He himself, was the snowflake that evaporated in an instant when it collided with his body. It was clean, it was good, the sensation he felt as each fleck randomly danced perfectly stimulating the sensory receptors in his skin. He was alive and was feeling life’s beauty sing within, throughout and around his divine body. He felt larger than the shell he resided within. It was as if he was something else and his body was only a glorious manifestation of all that his senses could feel.
Reminiscent of his youth, he gazed at his hands and well defined muscular arms, and marveled in complete awe of what had just taken place. He remembered his body being ripped apart and the images that no longer frightened him of black crows tearing at his flesh plucking away his eyes, as wild dogs tore him limb from limb. Nothing physical of him remained only the faint memory of himself as a boy and NOW…. he was a grown man!
The Lucid appeared before him, and were astonished at his transformation.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, staring back at them with his steel blue eyes.
The Lucids' dumbfounded expression was crystal clear as they all exchanged glances from one to the other in search of an answer. One of the six glided forward completely puzzled and asked with his mind “You can see me?”
“Yes of course why wouldn’t I see you?” at ease and slightly amused by the awkwardness he acknowledged the six of them with a quick glance and an illuminated, glorious smile that made his heart burst with LOVE.
They didn’t speak but he already knew. He could hear all of their thoughts all at once in his head. It wasn’t chaotic as one might think; it was very clear and precise. He knew they were confused and never expected this result…their dimension united within him?? They were shocked and astounded because his level of awareness somehow freed them all.
He could see them, never before had that happened! The Lucid could see that there was no longer any barrier between their two worlds. The veil of illusion had been lifted. Heaven and Earth sparkled within each facet of his steel blue eyes.
“Why are you looking at me that way?” he inquired charmed by their overall confusion.
The Lucid were not amused nor charmed that darkness was within them. It was only a human quality that was alien to them, or so they thought. If this man before them was deprived of expression, then they too were deprived? If their thoughts were his thoughts and they, like him would stop at nothing to bring forth what ever manifestation their union desired; including the river of blackness, regardless of the consequences, the end of the world, then they would have to accept that the embodiment of light originated within the vacuum of space or the deepest darkest cavity of hell! Knowing that the screams inside the vacuum of space were their own, was paradoxical.
The magnitude of this union AND to accept it as the Law!... was beyond anything they had previously imagined. It made no sense, that the horrific end of one world was the beginning of another…or so they say.
