Broken Mirror

Antique mirrors have been a special interest for Shary from the very beginning. Hence, she could not resist purchasing it when she came across one at a flea sale.

She was unable to put her finger on the spooky quality that emanated from the antique and ornate mirror, but she knew it gave off a creepy vibe.

Strange occurrences started taking place in Shary's bedroom almost immediately after she put the mirror there. At first, she brushed it off as nothing more than her overactive imagination getting the better of her.

Afterwards, though, she began to realise that the mirror showed something different from her room. She was confused at first, but then she finally figured it out.

It was an other universe, and the more she looked into the mirror, the more she saw of it. The more she peered into the glass, the more she saw of it.

At initially, there were just a few minor specifics involved. The walls were a different hue, the furniture was different, and there were bizarre symbols engraved into the wood. Furthermore, the furniture was unusual.

But then, she began to see other individuals when she looked in the mirror. She could make out their features despite the fact that they were obscured by the shadows.

They wore clothes that seemed like they were from another era and carried lanterns, giving the impression that they were from another era.

Shary made an effort to disregard the mirror and get on with her regular activities, but she was unable to escape the sensation that something was not quite right.

She had the unsettling sensation that someone was watching her whenever she glanced in the mirror. The next morning, she awoke to the realisation that elements of the parallel universe were beginning to appear in her own.

Her room was unusual. The walls were now painted in odd markings, and the furniture had been replaced with vintage items instead.

She could sense the presence of something observing her, and the air was heavy with an energy that seemed to come from another realm.

Shary made an effort to scream, but she couldn't because something was blocking her throat. She was unable to move or get away from the situation.

She was unable to escape this parallel world, which was gradually replacing the one she really lived in.

Shary's perception of the world started to get more warped as the days wore on. The persons she saw in the mirror started to materialise in her room, their phantom figures inching closer and closer to where she was sleeping.

She could feel their icy breath across her skin and hear their voices whispering in her ear.

Shary was aware that she needed to free herself from the influence that the mirror held on her before it was too late.

But how could she get away from a world that was gradually becoming like the one she owned? She struck the mirror with her fist many times, but it remained intact.

She attempted to hide it by covering it with a towel, but the force of the mirror was too great.

In the end, Shary came to the realisation that the only way for her to free herself from the pull that the mirror had on her was to embrace the other world as if it were her own.

She took a look at herself in the mirror, and at the same time, the environment around her began to shift and transform.

Once she had emerged, she found herself in a different world, but it was finally a place that she could call her own.
