Brenda and Bridget were the best of friends.

Brenda and Bridget were the best of friends. Absolutely inseparable.

One would think they were twins, the way they styled each other’s hair, wore each other's clothes and imitated each other's laugh.

Yet Bridget greeted the world at the very first moment of dawn while Brenda was born at the exact stroke of midnight.

Their only noticeable difference was a Wisconsin-shaped birthmark above Brenda's left elbow and the myriad of brown freckles that dotted Bridget's right shoulder.

Similar in every way but name, Brenda, and Bridget had a bad habit of torturing the neighbor’s cat when no one was looking and conducting unnecessary experiments on unsuspecting people.

Brenda the defacto leader of the duo, always encouraged a reluctant Bridget’s participation in their twisted games while Bridget never dared to disappoint or disobey her.

Still despite this, the neighborhood was none the wiser to their biggest secret of all— that Brenda and Bridget in fact shared a unique kinship.

An unbreakable maternal bond that was only strengthened by their inherited devious traits.

As their insidious camaraderie grew so did the depravity of their bad deeds. That is until Bridget decided it was time to set out on her own.

Unbeknownst to Brenda, Bridget had a plan. A plan that could quite possibly save them both.

So, one fine morning, Bridget lured Brenda to the very same quarry where their victims lay and pushed.

And to this day one could say, they had never seen Bridget happier.
