His father is a top tycoon.

The father had always given his son the impression of being a very rational person until recently.

His father had recently found out that he had cancer, and it was in an advanced stage, and cancer had spread throughout his body.

But the father was frantic to extend his life, and even whimsically wanted to move his brain to a healthy body, ignoring the fact that such a brain-transfer operation had never been performed on a human being by any doctor.

But there is nothing that money can't do.

The rich man soon found a doctor willing to operate on him and even found a "donor" willing to give his body.

The "donor" did not agree to let the rich man's brain take over, but he did not object to this - he is a total brain-dead vegetable, and even breathing and heartbeat need the help of machines to complete. The agreement was signed by his family, who could no longer pay for his medical care, after receiving a huge sum of money.

Everything seemed to be on the line, but a journalist somehow dug up the news, and the next day, a news article "Top tycoon buys a vegetable's life with money" spread across the country.

Public opinion naturally could not be on the side of the rich and powerful.

The righteous public spontaneously organized donations, and the families of the "donors" withdrew from the original agreement after receiving the money.

Some prosecutors even took the tycoon to court, arguing that his actions were tantamount to murder.

A large group of elite lawyers has become extremely skilled at taking the public side. But their job is not that simple either.

It was not difficult to help the tycoon get off, but at this point, where was the tycoon concerned about whether he was going to jail or not?

His plea was for the court to recognize his previous agreement with the "donor" family as legal so that his brain replacement surgery could continue.

The lawyers, for the sake of the money, developed a litigation plan for the rich man.

Their defense strategy was that a person who is brain dead should be considered dead. Is a person alive or a machine alive, when even breathing and heartbeat are maintained by machines? If the law is changed to determine death, then the rich man's act is to accept the donation of his body.

When everyone thought that this was just a sophomoric argument, another story broke: a congressman was proposing to change the definition of a person's death!

The case became bigger and bigger, and its significance became more and more serious: it became a confrontation between social conscience and the power of capital.

Finally, the case was put on the table of the Supreme Court, and after a unanimous decision of the five justices, it was decided that even if a person is dependent on a machine, even if he is mutilated, as long as part of him is still biologically active, he is still alive and cannot be treated as a deceased person.

This decision will be used as case law and will directly become law. The rich man had no chance of even legally finding his next "donor".

The long lawsuit drained the last of Rich's life energy and he died soon after.

As the son of a wealthy man, his father's death naturally brought grief, but he understood that he would also face nearly endless legal paperwork for some time to come.

Instead, the lawyers brought him a small petri dish of flesh that could not be seen in any shape.

The petri dish was filled with cancer cells from the dead tycoon. They can divide indefinitely as long as the cultural solution continues to maintain them. And according to the latest legislation, the rich man will be deemed to be alive.

The lawyer said this, and the son understood what it meant.

It meant that the family would never have to pay a penny in estate taxes again. And compared to the estate tax, the last period of madness before the tycoon's death was a drop in the bucket.

It turns out that all of this was planned by the rich man, and it turns out that his father was always such a rational person.
