An Endless Love

Before you start reading this story, I want to share something. There are a few stories that I wrote back in 2015, when I was 18 years old. Writing stories was also my hobby. I've decided to rewrite the stories again. Thanks to S.E Schneider for inspiring me to rewrite my stories. Her writing encourages me to write more and share it with the world. 'An Endless Love' is one of my favorite writings. It has four installments in my vault. I decided to share it with you guys. If you like the first one, I will write more.

AN ENDLESS LOVE

In 1974, in Kolkata, there were two families. One is Bangal and one is Ghoti. A boy from the Bangal family named Dhruv loved a girl from the Ghoti family named Samprita. Yet, there is the biggest rivalry between these two families from the past. As a result, their families' rivalry grew stronger. Samprita and Dhruv decided to end themselves by stabbing their wrists. They passed away, but thanks to Dhruv and Samprita's love power, the families are now allies rather than rivals. The boy's and girls' fathers decided how to handle this because they passed away but forged ties among the families. The fathers then decided to pour Dhruv and Samprita's bones into the Ganges. "You two unite by dying this life, but you two will be united by staying alive next life," they remarked as they did so.

In Kolkata, 25 years later, Dhruv was reborn as Amar Banerjee and Samprita as Priya Mukherjee. They have wealthy business parents. They relocate to London and continue their education. Amar and Priya were admitted to an IT institute for a diploma while they were promoted to pre-final class. They initially ran into each other there. Amar falls in love with her after they meet, and Priya begins to have feelings for him. They sit next to each other in the practical class. Amar was asked to open a piece of software by Priya. He accidentally touched her hand while opening the software for her. It prompts Priya to consider Amar as she develops feelings for him. Since that day, they have sat next to each other, but they have never expressed their feelings. Priya left the institute five months later, but Amar continued the course for one year. Amar is a friendly person who freely admits his love for Priya to everyone, even his parents.

For 2 years they can't talk to each other. They passed the final exam with the highest marks. They were admitted to the same college in Oxford, England. They met and talk to each other every day now, but they can't propose to each other. In the final year, the college was asked to enlist the names of two students for the College Spelling World Cup in Paris. There are many participants, so the college enlisted Amar and Priya's names. They have now to represent their college in the college spelling world cup in Paris. They traveled to Paris and stayed together in the same hotel room. In Paris, Priya liked a gold chain design of the Eiffel Tower she saw in a shop. In the tournament, they reached the final and became the world champions.

After that, they also didn't show any signs that they loved each other. They return to London as world champions. Then they go home to each other; the distance between his and her homes is about 5 minutes walk. Five days later, they met again on the metro, but this time they also thought about but didn't tell anyone about their feelings for each other. The next day, Amar reached his best friend Nrityashree's home. Nrityashree and Amar are best friends. Nrityashree told Amar to propose to Priya the next day because tomorrow is the college's celebration day. The next day begins when all are present. Amar and Priya were presented medals on the stage by the government. There, Amar wanted to propose it to Priya, who also wanted to do the same. They loved each other, but they didn't know that. Suddenly, Priya's parents made an announcement. Priya's father declared Priya's wedding with his childhood friend Mike Harris's (who is also a businessman) son Richard.

Amar was shut, and Priya was also shut. Richard was the brother-in-law of Priya's big brother. Amar goes to the washroom and starts crying. He blames himself for seeing himself in the mirror. Amar came out of the washroom, where his friends were crying for him and waiting. They all have a conversation about the situation. Amar was advised by his friends to find out if Richard had any faults. Amar met Richard, and they became friends. Amar tries hard to find any fault in Richard, but he fails to do so. One evening, Amar met Priya at her home. Priya told Amar that she loves him, and Amar also told her that he loves Priya. Amar also said, "I am a useless person; I can't use time properly. I proposed to you but it was too late", and "Richard is a good person. If I am the best, then he is the best.". Amar left the place with tears, and Priya also sat down and cried.

Their conversation was heard by Richard. The next day, the haldi ceremony was held. It was before the engagement. Many friends were present there, including Amar, and many gifts were presented. Three of her friends show her a present, which is the locket Priya liked in Paris. She realized that the gift was presented by Amar and looked at him. Amar looked at her but left his vision filled with sadness. Two days later, an international industrial fair was organized where many businessmen were present, including Amar and Priya's parents.

Also, Mr. Harris presents there. There, Richard makes an announcement. Everyone believes Richard would talk about getting engaged. Richard declared, "Everyone is aware that Priya Mukherjee will soon get married. Who do you know, though? Everyone was baffled. Richard remarked, "Me and Priya have different love interests. Neither Priya loves me nor do I love Priya."

Priya was invited to the stage by him. Richard instructed Priya to mention her lover's name when she entered the stage. Priya's family members stood up and addressed her: "Priya, why didn't you tell us if you were in love? We wish to provide you with a marriage with the person you adored". Priya is instructed to use his name. She is sobbing silently, though.

Richard announced Amar’s name, and he came to the stage, and Richard said, "The boy Priya adores and who adores Amar. Yet they kept it a secret from one another. I detest any work that is left unfinished. How then can I leave this tale unfinished? They have been in love since they were 17 but haven't had the chance to confess."

Therefore, Amar and Priya proposed to each other. Following the proposal, Amar gave Priya a hug. Richard presented Evelyn, his love interest, in the same location.

Therefore, Amar married Priya and lived happily ever after.
