Chapter 1

Meeting in the Research Lab

Last time during The Shadow Energy Cannon. The original Jeremiah, a 14-year-old male with brown hair, blue eyes, and a slight bulky build due to intense training over the years, finally refused with his duplicate. After that though, Darkness, a ruthless supervillain who’s current form is that of a shadow with red eyes, attacked the Agency with the shadow energy cannon he built. He was defeated again. This time the Agency was intact. Darkness's memory wasn't though. Now they think there is a spy among them because of Darkness’s swiftness in ascertaining their location with the prime suspect being Tiffany, a young skinny brunette teenage girl with a medium-sized bust. Is she the spy, is she not? Let’s find out now.

Jeremiah; Nic, an agent slightly younger and skinny than Jeremiah with blue eyes and brown hair; and Tiffany are walking towards the Research Lab. Tiffany is wondering, "What the heck is going on?" Once they arrive in the big room filled to the brim with machinery including computer monitors lined up on the side of the wall, they spot Head Spikey, a talking dog with black fur, a brown underbelly, and a spiked collar who runs the Agency; Tech Boy, a scientist around Jeremiah’s physical age with black hair and brown eyes; and Tech Girl, his nearly identical twin sister, gathered around the newly built shadow energy scanner in the center.

"What's going on?" asks Tiffany confused.

"The scanner is ready to scan," declares Tech Boy.

"Please step in, Tiffany," requests Tech Girl.

"Not until someone tells me what is going on," demands Tiffany.

"We believe there is a spy in the Agency," begins Head Spikey.

"And you're prime suspect number one to Nic's great disbelief," finishes and adds Jeremiah.

"This scanner will prove if you're the spy or not," says Head Spikey.

"How?" asks Tiffany.

"Can we hurry this up and prove Tiffany isn't the spy before I get zappy?" complains Nic sparks flying in his hands.

"Ignoring Nic over there, this will scan you for any remaining shadow energy, in theory," explains Tech Boy.

"Ok. Wait, what do you mean in theory?" asks Tiffany scared.

"Um…we couldn’t test it fully because we only got a pure guinea pig. We know it won’t explode, but we’re not sure if it detects shadow energy, either," explains Tech Boy awkwardly.

Jeremiah suddenly opens a portal as his left shoulder glows pinks and he disappears into the portal and reappears with Darkness, himself, in five seconds.

Jeremiah tosses Darkness in the machine and wise cracks, "Here’s a guinea pig"

"Jeremiah, that was probably the stupidest thing you ever done since you’ve been here," claims Head Spikey.

"For once, I agree with him," agrees Darkness.

Tech Boy and Tech Girl activate the lock mechanism and adjust the scanner to Darkness’s level of shadow energy. Then, they activate it showing that Darkness’s shadow energy was off the charts. Which means, it works.

"What was all of this about?" demands to know Darkness holding on to the door.

"Yes," cheers Jeremiah doing a little fist pump.

"Test complete," says Tech Girl.

"It works," cheers Tech Boy.

The door opens and Jeremiah says, "Your services are no longer required."

He grabs Darkness and even though everyone was saying, "Wait a minute", disappears and reappears, alone in two seconds.

"That was even dumber," states Head Spikey.

"We had him and you just let him go!?" asks Tech Boy furiously.

"It would have been unsportsmanlike to capture him like that," says Jeremiah.

"We’re in the middle of a war and you’re thinking about sportsmanship!?" exclaims Tech Boy furiously.

"Tech Boy does have a point," claims Tech Girl.

"Agreed," chimes in everyone else.

"Just because we’re in the middle of a war doesn’t make an excuse for poor sportsmanship," says Jeremiah.

"Just fire the scanner, already, because I’m starting to feel zappy," threatens Nic.

"Roger," says a scared Tech Boy.

Tiffany steps into the scanner. Tech Boy and Tech Girl fire it up. Some sort of green grid forms around Tiffany’s feet and rises up scanning her displaying her shadow level on the monitor on the side of the scanner. The machine finishes, powering down inside the chamber declaring Tiffany clean.

"Congratulations Tiffany. You passed," says Tech Boy relived at the fact that Nic will calm down, now.

"See. I told you Tiffany wasn't the spy," asserts Nic.

"You were right, Nic. We can officially x-out Tiffany on the maybe spy list," replies Jeremiah.

"Now, Jeremiah, let’s go to my office for your mission briefing," says Head Spikey.

"That won't be necessary, Head Spikey. We have everything you need right here. Our network is connected to your screen. We can even use a virtual copy of your office," claims Tech Boy.

"Can someone translate that into English?" requests Head Spikey.

"In other words, we thought of everything," translates Tech Girl pushing Tech Boy aside.

"Ok. Then, we'll do the briefing in here. Just activate the virtual office," says Head Spikey.

Tech Boy and Tech Girl activate the virtual-reality simulator. Then, the Research Lab is enveloped in a green wireframe grid before turning into Head Spikey's office, except the part with the controls.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate Jeremiah on his promotion to field agent first class," congratulates Head Spikey.

Everyone starts clapping.

"Good job," congratulates Nic.

"Congratulations," says Tiffany.

"You deserve it," says Tech Girl.

"I saw that coming," proclaims Tech Boy.

"You're also getting a ship upgrade. Would you like to pick your partner now or later? And before I forget, Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres joined the Agency yesterday. Due to all the hassle, I forgot to give a screening of that. I'll show you that first. Then, you can tell me your answer."

The screen appears showing the Pokémon habitat with Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres occupying the Legendary Pokémon mini-habitat within.

"Whoa. I choose Articuno as my new partner."

"Good choice. Now time for the second screen."

The image on the screen changes to his new ship which was 10x more spacious than the Rustbucket ever was with an aerodynamic design consisting of a curved, sleek front lined with five windows lining it in front of the bridge, a nice thick back, and turrets underneath the back wings. Articuno and Pikachu are also there waiting on standby.

The Peace Maker Initial Screening (Illustrated by Nic Ellison)

The screen disappears.

"There you go. Now please name your newly upgraded ship."

"The Peace Maker."

"Nice name. I'm going to give you the rest of the day off."

"Ok. Thanks."

Tech Boy and Tech Girl deactivate the virtual-reality simulator reverting to the wireframe for a brief moment before turning back to the Research Lab. Everyone but Jeremiah, TB, and TG went to breakfast. Tech Boy and Tech Girl have something to tell him.

"We got that tablet you found translated. It says 'Time will stop, space will contract,'" says Tech Boy.

"I see. I'll go to Mt. Coronet later. It has deep ties with time and space," states Jeremiah.

"Ok. Bye."

"Bye."

Jeremiah exits the lab himself and heads to the Breakfast Café.

Chapter 2

A Day of Fun

After Jeremiah finishes breakfast, he heads over to the arcade, a large spacious room in the agency filled to the brim with many cabinets, game machines, etc. all designed for the agents’ entertainment. Looking around, he couldn't decide which game to play first. There are a lot of games there to choose from. He plays on various devices and cabinets for a few hours until he hears some guy bragging about how nobody could beat him on laser tag. Naturally, Jeremiah had to challenge him. He steps up to the virtual-reality stage and shares some banter with the guy before the game started.

"Are you sure you want to do this? Once it starts, there is no turning back," warns the guy haughtily.

"I'm ready. Besides, I like a challenge," replies Jeremiah smugly.

They put on their virtual-reality helmets. When they did, the scenery changed into a basic white digital void with no distinguishing characteristics to be found in it.

The game states, "Hello. Welcome to laser tag. Before we begin, I will explain the rules to you. The rules are if a laser tag beam hits you, you lose. Your power levels will also be increased or decreased to 500. And you can only use one of your powers for the duration of the game. Since Player One has multiple powers, he must choose one of them to use for the duration of the game."

Suddenly, dozens upon dozens of pictures appear in front of Jeremiah showcasing his multitude of powers he acquired over the years: Super Strength, Telekinesis, Fire Tornado, All-Out Elemental Strike, etc. They were all there. From the selection, he decides to pick super speed for the match.

"Player One's power is super speed. Player Two’s power is changing the landscape around him."

"No wonder you're undefeated."

"That's right."

"Do you two understand the rules?"

"Yes."

"Understood."

"Then, the game will begin in five…four…three…two…one…GO!"

The terrain suddenly changes to an icy mountain terrain. Jeremiah's opponent is nowhere in sight. Jeremiah starts running around on the foot of the mountain with his super speed looking for his opponent. Suddenly, a huge rock pops out of the ground. He jumps quickly out of the way over it and sees his opponent close by. He starts running towards him. The path reverses direction. Jeremiah jumps towards his destination and starts climbing. A rock pillar popped out of the mountain and hit Jeremiah in the chest knocking him off the mountain down to the ground back-first. He jumps back up and starts running up the mountain at breakneck speed. Dodging, sort of artificial, pillars along the way. When he gets close, his opponent fires his laser gun but misses the shot. Jeremiah shoots his and it hit. The game announces, "Winner: Player One." The virtual-reality helmets came off them. Jeremiah and the other guy shake hands and says, "Good game." The crowd, that gathered up while they were playing, cheers. Jeremiah checks the time. It was lunchtime. He starts running to the Lunch Restaurant.

After lunch, Jeremiah went to the ship bay and customized the Peace Maker. He adds the emblems of the various worlds he has successfully recruited into the Agency along with its logo as well as a laser cannon for sticky situations.

Afterwards, he heads back to his room to put up his tools. Once they were put up, he returns to the ship bay and hops in the newly customized Peace Maker. As he was taking off, a red portal suddenly opens up in front of him. It sucks in part of the ship bay and the Peace Maker with Jeremiah in it.

Chapter 3

Meet Dr. Nefarious

"So your name is Dr. Nefarious from the Ratchet & Clank world in the hero sector?" asks Darkness.

"Yes," says Dr. Nefarious, a robot that looks like an evil tyrant with visible gears in a glass case on his head.

"Ok. So what do you have to offer as a minion?" asks Darkness.

"My services, army, and my robot butler, Lawrence," offers Dr. Nefarious.

"Summon your butler here," orders Darkness.

"LAWRENCE, GET OVER HERE," yells Dr. Nefarious.

Dr. Nefarious’s robot butler, Lawrence, rushes in. He looks exactly like your stereotypical butler except mechanical.

"Good day sir," greets Lawrence.

"THROW SCRAPHEAP HERE IN THE PIT," yells Darkness.

"Why I never," blurts out Lawrence.

Bowser appears from the other room, grabs Lawrence, and tosses him into the pit, essentially what most people would consider every little girl's paradise.

"Is this supposed to be a punishment?" questions Lawrence confused.

"Silence, Scrapheap. If you don't shut up, I'll destroy you and sell the individual parts on Spacebay."

"Oh my."

"Your butler needs his manners deleted. You see, rule one here is never show any signs of weakness. Manners is a sign of weakness."

"Lawrence rarely fights. He just serves me."

"I can possibly make an exception on one condition. I can use Scrapheap anytime if you pass initiation."

"What if I don't pass, though?"

"I'll destroy you and take Lawrence anyway, unless you say otherwise on your will."

"I still need to write it, though."

"Don't worry, we let people who are taking initiation write their will first."

"Ok. It's a deal."

Suddenly, a floating screen appears. It shows Jeremiah getting sucked in the red portal.

"That portal is made of light antimatter. It's a really rare substance. And lights can't survive in it for very long. Dr. Nefarious, you might want to write your will right now."

"Why?"

"Because your initiation is to save Jeremiah. He is vital to the plan despite how he captured me earlier and let me go as a sign of good sportsmanship. Make sure you cheat a lot."

"Yes, Master Darkness."

"You catch on quick."

Chapter 4

Operation: Rescue Jeremiah

"We got to stop the Dark Ship and rescue Jeremiah," states Head Spikey who is currently in his office along with Nic, Tiffany, Tech Boy, and Tech Girl.

"We did some calculations," says Tech Boy.

"Jeremiah was sent to a dimension of regular antimatter. That microchip on him only works with the Shadow World brand of antimatter, though," communicates Tech Girl.

"What microchip?" asks Head Spikey.

"It was implanted on his neck to survive in the Shadow World for long periods of time," explains Tech Boy.

"And he means the original Shadow World. Not the Shadow Realm," further explains Tech Girl.

"I see. Now, let’s get back on subject here," says Head Spikey unsure of what to think.

"Right. As I was saying, he was sent to a dimension with our multiverse's brand of antimatter," continues Tech Girl.

"He can only survive in there for a few minutes," finishes Tech Boy.

"So our first priority is to rescue Jeremiah. Thanks for those calculations, Tech Boy and Tech Girl," states Head Spikey.

"You're welcome," responds Tech Boy.

"So far, the Dark Ship has got Jeremiah, the Peace Maker, part of the ship bay, and Mt. Coronet. Nic and Tiffany, your mission is to rescue Jeremiah and stop the Dark Ship."

"But, how are we supposed to get to Jeremiah?" asks Nic.

"Yeah. How will we?" echoes Tiffany.

"Tech Boy and Tech Girl are working on that," answers Head Spikey.

"We just got done," says Tech Girl.

"You see, a regular portal machine won't work. Not even a portal matrix, which is very rare," explains Tech Boy.

"So we made a mini wormhole generator and modified it," further explains Tech Girl.

"It should have enough power to get you two to the antimatter dimension," finishes Tech Boy.

"Good. Nic and Tiffany, get on the Phoenix Warbird. Tech Boy and Tech Girl operate the mini wormhole generator. Now go and rescue Jeremiah," orders Head Spikey.

"Yes, Head Spikey," says Nic.

"Ok, Head Spikey," says Tiffany.

"Roger," says Tech Girl."

"Sir, yes, sir," says Tech Boy.

They run out of Head Spikey's office to the ship bay. When they got there, Tech Boy and Tech Girl install the mini wormhole generator on the Phoenix Warbird. Nic and Tiffany got in it.

"Once you take off, the mini wormhole generator will take you to the antimatter dimension for three minutes."

"If we made it a minute longer, Jeremiah would most likely be dead when you got back."

"Got it."

The ship lifts off and opens its mouth shooting a beam from it that opens up a wormhole. It flies into it transporting them to the red void that was the antimatter dimension. Their ship began to fall apart on entry. They also felt a little faint. Then, they saw Dr. Nefarious’s ship, which was still in perfect condition. Dr. Nefarious sees them.

"Who are you?" questions Dr. Nefarious.

"Just two agents on a rescue mission," states Nic.

"I see. I'm not one person who you can trust. The name is Dr. Nefarious, and I'm here because my Master Darkness sent me here. I know who you're after already. And I have his location. So sayonara," monologues Dr. Nefarious before he activates the boosters on his ship rushing away at high speed.

"After him," yells Nic.

They fire up their thrusters and start chasing Dr. Nefarious. Nefarious didn't like it. So he starts shooting at them. The Phoenix Warbird dodges it and shoots at Dr. Nefarious. It's a hit. As the ship floats around in the void, they spot the Peace Maker with Jeremiah in there unconscious. They attached their ship tether to the Peace Maker. And not a moment too soon because the mini wormhole generator activated on its own transporting them abruptly to what remained of Mt. Coronet. They crash-landed. When everyone was out of the Phoenix Warbird, Jeremiah came to. He asks groggily, "What happened?" Nic pointed upward and simply says, "That." Jeremiah looks and sees the Dark Ship sucking up more pieces of land in a red beam originating from the bottom of the ship. All he can say is "Oh no."
