Why Remote Work Has Made Furnished Rentals the New Standard for Corporate Travel
The way people work has changed permanently, and the accommodations built to support that work have not kept up. For decades, corporate travel meant proximity to an office, a place to sleep between meetings, and a business center in the lobby for anything else. That model assumed the office was the destination and the hotel was simply where you recovered from the day. Remote and hybrid work dismantled that assumption entirely. When the work follows the traveler rather than waiting at a fixed address, the accommodation has to do a completely different job, and most hotels were never built for it.

A Day on The Road
Brynn and I set out early in the morning. Our first stop was at 9:00 a.m. A conversation with my last elder for my book. We were there until 11:30. I thought Bryn would be bored but she enjoyed the elders cat Jack. She also enjoyed listening to the stories told.

The question of whether to pack light or pack prepared isn't just a matter of preference. It shapes how smoothly the entire trip unfolds.
